How does Ezine do this?

I think I'd have better chance of curing male pattern baldness than getting an article with "Pennsylvania" in the title approved. How do you get past this hurdle? besides using buzzle, articlebase, etc ?

Refresh my memory, Dan, what was the reason for the rewrite request? How did eZine phrase it?

Are they telling you why you're getting rejected exactly? It seems like a really strange word to get rejected for without knowing the context of it.

      1. Your article body MUST deliver on what is promised in the title. We do not accept teaser links or phrases that require a reader to click away from the article or reference another source in order to receive the full benefit of what has been promised.
According to my last "problem article", the info. in article must be specific to that state only! Then I do a little checking and see plenty of Pennsylvania titles in the insurance category that aren't any different than mine...with one exception...the writers are "paying" members

Is that what it's all about....$$$?

So you're writing articles about PA insurance? Is your article about PA insurance only or are you referencing other states? Just want to be clear.

Why are you saying that it's the word "Pennsylvania" that's getting you in trouble? You don't know that it's the problem, right? Compare your title to your article.. is there anything misleading?

    Dan,
You could always write a generic insurance article and just use Pennsylvania as part of the anchor text for your backlinks within your resource box.

This allows you to use the actual article on your website with Pennsylvania in the title and throughout the article allowing you to forgo competing for rankings with your submitted/published articles on EZA.

Also, here is a good read on the EZA blog that covers this policy:

    Localized Niche Articles

I agree with TimG. If that doesn’t work, why not just remove it from the title and place it on the anchor text. That may work.

Guess I'll have to go with that advice. Too bad though, I've found that when I target an exact longtail keywork phrase in my title and also as a backlink in the first sentence... with directories that allow it, I tend to hit pg#1 much faster.

Tim knows a lot about article marketing. Reading his stuff is how I got started writing articles in the first place.

I am not sure I understand why you can't rewrite the article to be just about pennsylvania though.

        Dan,
You can get local items in your title with EZA but you have to make sure that the article is spot on in terms of the content relating to the article title.

Also, you could try submitting slightly longer articles (provided the content is high quality offering value) as this may also help with the editorial approval process. A short 250 word blurp doesn't look as enticing to EZA as a 500 -700 high quality article.
