INTERNET MARKETING

When you buy PLR articles what format do you prefer them to be in?
PDF, .doc or .txt?

What about ebooks?

I can tell you that anything is better than a PDF format as those are hard to edit if you want to change up the wording some.

  .doc is what I prefer. Easy to edit.
  
  I'd avoid pdf because as the other poster stated they are a nightmare to edit and I always suggest slightly editing PLR content.

Text is the best as a buyer can easily copy and paste into their blog or site or wherever they plan on putting it.

Word Docs are 2nd best, but not everyone has Word or OpenOffice (even though it is free) and they don't know how or where to get a copy. (Yes, some people have no clue about this stuff, they just want their content).

And if you copy/paste from Word docs it quite often adds garbly gook code stuff (geek speak) to their Wordpress site, autoresponder, html editor which causes more problems. (Yes there are easy ways around this, but again, most people don't have a clue).

With that said, it is fairly quick and easy to take a text file and 'save as' a word doc and vica-versa, so including both is a good option.

PDF, i wouldn't bother with, as they are more difficult to edit them and use them unless it is a fully completed version of a report, but most people will want to brand them first and that can't be done staright away to a pdf file.

doc if I plan on doing any editing. If I'm just reselling or giving away, I like pdf because a lot of people tend to think they are more professional.

  I completely agree with you but I will like to add that, you can just get a pdf doc. and send it like that without adding some personal touches, because it is those personal touches that really makes it look professional.
  
  But I will just get the word doc.
  
  By the way these stuffs are easy to change the format that is if you know what you are doing of course.

I prefer to receive in either .doc or .txt - either one is fine by me.

With the PLR I sell, I give both .doc and .txt to try and please everyone. I usually type my articles up in Notepad and then copy and paste into Word to do a spell and grammar check. Then I will save in both formats.

I usually just include the .doc. I see .txt only for PLR articles. If it is an ebook it is usually just the .doc

I'm a word user, so .doc is my preference--but there is a good point made that sometimes the formatting can be dicey--especially if the ebook comes with headers, etc. It IS easy to convert a .doc file to text and then edit--then search and globally replace offending words, formatting or characters.

Yes--if you can DELIVER in different formats, do it. I usually only SELL with PDF format--so that people are less likely to rip me off.

For articles, definitely .txt. As a second option, .doc/docx. For me .pdf is only suitable for material I will read only and PLR articles are always reused for blog posts, email etc.

I would really prefer them to be in .txt format. It's simple and lightweight.

As for ebooks... In that case .doc might be better.

I think .txt or .doc is easier.

You can edit it as you wish, even rewrite it into your own unique article.

Pdf is basically a compact version for reading purpose only.
