Canadians -- The "Visa" Debit.

Hey All,

This discussion has happened a lot on the Warrior Forum, about the PayPal Debit card, visa card and all of those different options that are not available to Canadians. I've seen this question asked many times, by people who would really like to spend there PayPal money in stores without having to do lots of transfers.

A lot of people have advised to get what they call "Visa Debit Cards", a debit card that can be used on the Visa Network. Until the last QR of 2010 you couldn't, now you can. You can get a "Visa Debit", or "Debit Card on the Visa Network" from CIBC bank.

It's very confusing the way they explain it -- but for those of you looking to not have Visas in Canada -- and were looking for the PayPal debit. This is a good alternative.

The reason I posted this here, is that people have been posting about this on here, as well as PMing/e-mailing me asking me how they can do business online if they don't have a Visa Card, in Canada.

Just a by the way, I didn't get this Card -- I've already got too many cards, but it may be good for someone else

      You probably don't watch a lot of fooball.

      The Visa Debit commercial is on CBS or Fox like every 2 minutes during NFL games.

    Thanks for the new info Caleb.

    Unfortunately, I closed my account with CIBC years ago and DON'T plan opening another one (with our without this "new" PayPal benefit)!

    I'll just do it the "new fashioned way" -- transfer the funds when I need them (within 5 days, of course) to my bank account.
