What's the best way to get my site out there with a non-existent budget and limited time?

Thanks in advance for any answers to my question

You mean indexed or ranked on Google's first page?

To get it indexed ping your site using for example pingler.com, submit it to Digg, Propeller and to a few rss directories.

To get it ranked you'll have to follow a backlinking process and the best option is to research as much information as you can about this topic inside this great forum .

Youh could write and submit a few articles with links to specific pages of your site.

You could set up some web 2.0 properties with links to your sites.

You could do some blog commenting on sites that allow you to have a backlink in the Name field on the comment form.

You could install a blog (if your site is not already one) and write posts about some of the pages on your site with in context links to those pages.

Why do you need it in a limited time?

Build your business for the future.

There are many different things you could do to make money short term, slapping a website up and hoping for the best should not be on that list.

If you're in a money crunch, I'd look into offering services if it has to be online work.

There are a couple options that would work for you.

First off there's always article marketing. It's free and quick. You can write an article in a very limited amount of time and submit it with a backlink to your site driving traffic directly.

Once you've made some sales from your article and have a small budget you can have backlinks built to the article causing it to rise in the search engine rankings for the keyword you've chosen. Once in the search rankings you'll get a fair bit of search engine traffic which is great.

Option 2 is to get joint venture partners to mail their list about your site. Extremely effective in my experience. I send them a letter outlining my proposition and follow it up with a brief phone call to seal the deal. Many people are happy to promote for you as long as your sites quality is good.

Don't overthink it. The worst they can do is say no.

Make sure to build a list while you're at it because that's where the real money is...having an ongoing relationship with your prospects/customers. It provides a lot of leverage and is a salable asset in and of itself.

        Hope this helps!

Getting your site indexed will be easy enough. However, getting traffic to your site is something else completely.

However, since it sounds like resources (both $$ and time) aren't in abundance for you, then the first thing I'd ask is have you done sufficient KW research for your site?

If you don't have a lot of money or time to put into getting ranked, then you need to make sure you're trying to rank for a term that will be easier to rank for. If you're going up against any real competition, then you're screwed before you start.

Make sure you *can* rank for your KW before you try to.
