Optin form at the end of a blog post - Pretty cool

I just saw how they have the optin form positioned at the end of every blog post here;
http://www.armandmorin.com/giving-100000-free-tickets/

Any ideas what plugin does this or is it custom?

If you're looking to insert your autoresponder signup form before, in the middle, or after a post check out this plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/post-layout/

Just copy and paste your autoresponder code in the box provided. I use this to place a signup form between the post and comments. It's very effective for gaining subscribers.

      Hi Mark,
I tried this but the submit button never shows up... any advice on what I may be doing wrong? I am using Mailchimp - a naked form, and the Woo Canvas theme..

      Thanks

Armand has his own line of software so probably something he had developed for himself.

I have an optin form at the end of my all my blog posts using the subscriber magnet plugin. It's great but not cheap. It does a lot more than just that... it rocks.

If all you want is to add the optin form at the bottom of your blog post and you can't afford Subscriber magnet I have a suggestion for you.

Before I bought SM I used this free plug-in:

Add Signature Plugin for WordPress · Dagon Design

You can add HTML so you can copy/paste your Aweber code (or whichever service you use) and tweak it so looks like you want. It will then add your opt-in form at the bottom of all your blog posts.

To anyone who doesn't have an opt-in box after your blog posts:

I more than tripled my opt-ins doing this (putting an opt-in at the end of my blog posts). Think about it from a psychological standpoint. When are your readers most "charged to take action". Right after they've read your post.

If you aren't doing this...you need to do this NOW.

Hmmm.... so, lets say a wordpress theme came with the options to add in your own optin at the end of every post, page or whatever with these features...

add in your aweber ID stuff
    add in your own headline
    sales text
    button text
    plus upload an image

something that looked very similar to the optin on this page.

    It might be popular?

Throw in that you could also use it on your sidebar as well (same as the example site above) and just for fun you can also make it a sales box with a big ol fancy buy, download, act now, stat, join button.

Just curious, been working on something epic in the lab.

I want to make all of the other IM theme developers run home and cry to mommy.

    Pics are more fun...

We can just use widget, no? I'm using atahualpa theme and it allows me to add widget area wherever I want. Just copy-paste Aweber code in a text widget and drag it to the widget area. No plugin at all.

Jason - That's very cool opt-in form! I wish I have a bit more talent in web design and don't have to use Aweber's standard template :p

Lots of good answers, thanks guys.

AnthonyKrese I agree, your readers are much more primed to join your list right after they've read some juicy content from you. I can't wait to test it and advise others to do so as well

MaxblogPress (mentioned earlier) do a free one I think that can be inserted anywhere and is very easily customised. MaxBlogPress*|* MaxBlogPress Optin Form Adder

@JasonMorgan. Make it so it will auto-parse any autoresponder code ..not just Aweber. Optincrusher plug in does that, although for a slide up ad. It is damn useful for those who use other services.

    • Just wanted to say a quick thanks for everyone's ideas on adding more power to my autoresponders! Appreciate really it. Opt-ins are so crucial to business, going to have to check a few of these out.

      Any other ideas??

      Thx.

Another Option is the wp optin plugin. Or, if you are technical, you can just add it to your theme template. I use both methods. And I agree, if you aren't putting an optin form in EVERY post, you are losing out.

I don't really like the opt in form on that Blog as it's hard to see.

I actually just put a link to my squeeze page at the end of every blog post. That's another way to do it.

I think this is a great way to capture subscribers without being overly obtrusive. The only thing I'd change about his opt-in form on the home page is to move it a little higher, as it may not be above the fold, especially if you're on a smaller notebook or have a lower resolution screen.

I know, the way that plugin works is really cool. I've been meaning to dig around the code to see how he pulled that off.

Ok - added Jazzy optins (free from Contentrix.com) and it worked on my last post - must retrofit... thankfully it's a new blog!

You can do this for free with the Adrotate Plugin and you can have more than one optin form. Doesn't work well with caching though.
