How Can I Create A Valuable Business Directory?

Hey Warriors, I have a NicheCity site that's on the first page of Google, Yahoo and Bing for a couple of keyword phrases. I bought Gene's "Shooting Fish in a Barrel" WSO and built a simple directory hoping to quickly flip.

For whatever reason, I am really interested in making it into a real directory.

If any of you have experience with this, I'd like to hear from you.

I was thinking about creating a separate page for each business with contact info, Google map to location, URL and more about the company. What should i charge for something like that?

Does anyone have any better ideas?

    Sounds like a good idea. I would create a few listing for your target market and approach the businesses that you want to list.

    You can use the free-advanced system, where you offer a basic listing free and for just $10 per month or so, you offer to include additional information.

    How much to charge depends of many factors. The main one: How much is it worth for the business. You can fine out by asking them.

    You set a price and then offer it. If it sells, you raise the price slightly for the next and so on, until you reach a point where nobody wants to buy.

    If you don't want to do that, you survey the target customers. Just ask "how much would you pay for this?"

    I would go for 3 listing types - Bronze, Silver and Gold package. Bronze being free and just basic text advertising with basic contact details, Silver they can add contact details, more text and 2 pictures, and Gold they can have a link to their own website, google map, unlimited info and pictures etc. I would also offer a free Gold package to a few businesses to get started.reated. A friend did this in our town and have had some success with it.
