can i share anything from any website ?

Hi, you should never share anything of anyone's without asking them first.
it is a common courtesy to ask first. Imagine if someone just came to your website and shared your content without asking.

Also, you should always link back to the owner's website or offer, think about it, they are the legal owner of the content, why should you just go ahead and share it for your use without them getting something out of it.

Depends on whether or not you want to keep your site. If you steal someone else's content you are likely to find yourself on the wrong end of a Cease and Desist notice and your host will take down your site.

Many Youtube videos can be shared as they link directly back to youtube.

Read the terms of service of the site whose content you want to share.

If in doubt, ask the site owner.

If a user doesn't want their video shared, they can turn embedding off. However, the reason you can with youtube is because the author gives permissions to youtube for syndication, much like the article writer gives permission for syndication - so long as the bio box (or in youtube's case) a link exists back to the video/article.

What this means is, you can't just rip a video off (by using the various downloaders) and then reupload it under your name.


As far as other content goes, just because it's posted online doesn't mean it is not copy protected. All content, under US Copyright Code is protected, even if it hasn't been registered with the copyright office. The only way sharing is allowed is if the owner of the content gives you permission to republish it. (Personal permission or through a license, like PLR, Master Resale, etc.)

Note: I'm not a lawyer so you shouldn't listen to me. Go talk to a copyright attorney if you are concerned about something.

With youtube video it shouldn't be a problem, but if I were you I would send the owner a quick msg and let them know you will have their video on your site.

YouTube you can share and they make it very easy to do so.

Many of the Article Directories have content you can share so long as you don't change IT or the links within IT. Outside of that, unless it is Public Domain or Creative Commons (even sometimes iffy) then you should not share without permission.
