Article Writer Recommendations?

CLOSED - CLOSED - CLOSED

I'm ready to release the article writer I've been using. Her turnaround time seems to be getting longer and longer. Four days at first and now a bunch of articles later, it's closer to seven days.

Could you recommend a great article writer who writes in the English language well, can take direction well on any niche/target/category, knows how to write an article with keywords/seo, 400 to 500 words and that provides a consistent four business days or less turnaround time? Preferably at $10 or less - I send a lot of article requests.

Thanks in advance.

If this is the wrong place to put this, please let me know where to move it?
Thanks.

@AnniePot, Well, you're wrong. She's a good writer and she gets up every day and performs well for her large volume of clients. She has too many clients and I'm ready for faster turnaround.

Love when people know it all.

This is such nonsense. A good writer can do 4 or more an hour which equals a pay of $40/hour. How long do you need for an article? Do you think that $40/hr is such a bad pay?

I'm putting this and your previous post together and responding. I don't quite understand what "extensively SEO researched" articles means?

A good writer should be able to conduct extensive SEO research AND write 4 or more articles an hour?

How much would one expect a $10 article to earn over its lifetime?

There are many variables involved, but, if a very thoroughly researched article could earn a few $1,000+ over it's lifetime, wouldn't that justify a $30-$50 price point?

I'm not trying to shut down anyone's POV on this, but I have written many $10 articles for my clients. They keep coming back to me and I have worked with many of them for years. They must be making some money or they would not come back.

I totally understand the need to charge more than $10 per article though. It all depends on your own personal style, what you are able deliver to your clients and your business plan. If you are a writer who is able to get work charging $30 per article - more power to you! That's a great thing.

But, I have found that I can have enough orders to fill up an entire week of constant work if I keep my current prices. That's what has been working for me. My clients are happy (and making money, I'm assuming) and I have enough work to make the amount of money that I'm comfortable with.

In my previous post, I was simply stating that I find it strange that anyone would pay $30 for a single 500 word article when there are many chances to grab talented writers when they are beginning to expand their portfolio. There are always WSO's or Warriors for Hire that offer something like this.

However, I wouldn't ever bash a writer for charging those prices. Hey, if you are able to get the business with those prices, no need to lower them. I'm guessing from a few comments that some writers can get consistent work charging those prices, I'm jealous. But, I wouldn't hire you myself.

Then you may be surprised to learn that some tech and web design sites are paying writers anywhere from $50 - $300 per accepted article, but then again tech sites have a pretty decent budget.

If i get a client i do NOT ask "How much would that client make from my article", it simply doesn't work like that (usually). As an IMer myself i know that the SEO guy i just paid $5 on fiverr might make me hundreds or thousands...and i also know that my client might potentially make thousands with his web site which gets an article of mine. (Or site i just made him). Simply not realistic.
You charge based on your work and not based on expected profits on client's side.

A "great article writer", can take direction well on any niche, understands keywords/SEO and will produce 400/500 words at $10 or less?

"Good luck with that", as the saying goes!

I know plenty of very good, very talented article-writers, but not one who'd thank me for recommending them to you, to be honest.

I am a full time ghostwriter and I write most things in the $10.00 range if they are under 500 words and don't require hours of research. My work is original, and passes copyscape. My info can be found on my profile. Feedback and samples on my site.

My turnaround is usually less than two day. If swamped will tell you ahead of time.

Normally don't toot my own horn when visiting in the forum, but the post was asking, so I did.

I have used Kevin Marshall for orders here off the warrior forum. All U.S. English speaking writers and the price point is exactly at the $10 for 500 words I think. I have had good themed articles and some keyword targeted articles written from him and his staff. I was pleased with what I got.

        He has other packages available..here..

Up it to $30-$50 an article, and I'd be more than willing to write an article for her, per her specifications.

Have fun competing against many people writing "articles" for $3-$4. Believe me, i would also GLADLY write articles for $50 a pop. I just finished extensive SEO articles and was charging far less than that.
If you know so many people willing to spend $30 - $50 for an article, feel free to give me the list

(The harsh reality is that for some people $7 is already too much)

@Alexa, and the reason for your response was? Was it to be helpful or critical?
This is what the writer charges her clients, she contacted me through warrior forum.

It amazes me when people bother to post unhelpful comments.

This is what the writer charged me - $9, she contacted me through Warrior Forum. Wow, imagine that. If you find this fee unacceptable than don't past judgement on those who choose to charge this amount. She is a very talented writer and reliable, but because of her fee she gets high volume and takes longer. Simple as that.

For those of you who sent me helpful suggestions or your interest in doing this, thank you. I will be in touch soon.

Pretty amazed that anyone would consider spending $30 on a 500 word article. I have written tons of well-researched, keyword centered 500 word articles for waaay less than that. I'm in the same situation - I keep my prices low and I get tons of orders, so my turnaround is kept at 5 business days.

I write quality content, and keeping my prices low gets me a lot of work. It keeps my clients happy and gets me referrals all the time.

I would suggest that you just take a look around the WF here. I bet there are talented writers who are looking to expand their portfolio. Just contact them with a PM and judge their style by their response. Ask to see some samples to evaluate their skills. Then, ask them for a definite turnaround time. If they can't give you one, don't work with them. If they don't deliver on time, drop 'em. There are tons of writers out there.

It looks like I might be in the minority on this particular topic, but I would never recommend spending $30 on a 500 word article. That's not enough content to include hours of research unless you're printing the article in a peer reviewed medical journal.

    Good luck.

I didn't know my wanting recommendations would cause such a debate or what have you among some people. I just simply stated what this warrior did for me and charged me and I was looking for something similar. For press releases, and fuller pieces like for magazines, of course the pay should be more.

In any event, I've received great suggestions and going to follow up with those people.

Thanks for all the PM's - at this time my PM folder can't hold any more messages.

I will follow up with the recommendations I've been given. Thanks again for those who provided genuine feedback and suggestions or a willingness to help. Appreciated!

To sum it up, not all highly priced fee of a writer produces good and profitable articles and also not all cheaply priced ones produce crappy works.

Even though the online world is ever evolving, when I write articles for someone, I would like to have reasonable confidence that they can earn multiples of what they actually paid for the article.

If you are charging $5 for an article, and your customer goes on to earn $10 over its life, then I would have to say they made a good investment.

If someone purchases an article for $30, and that article goes on to earn $1,000 over it's lifetime, then I'd have to say that the buyer made a good investment.

Maybe I'm just not as skilled, but I'll openly admit that I'd have difficulty writing over 4 highly SEO optimized/researched articles in one hour. The very nature of SEO lends to different interpretations of just how "extensive" the research really is. If the research is done correctly and thoroughly, you CAN been reasonably conifdent that a single article can go on to earn a customer multiples of what they purchased it for. I would just, personally, find it difficult to achieve this level of confidence had I written 4 articles in one hour.
