You will likely get flagged and zapped shortly after posting. Craigslist is still good for finding hookers, though.

Meh. Someone flags half my ads on Craigslist anyway. None of them violate any TOS or are offensive in any way, shape, or form.

I did actually try to do that once, and the ad got removed very quickly, must have gotten reported, unfortunately.

Some people have had great success with classified sites in general, the thing is to not be too much commercial, you have to use your creativity to bring people to your site, do not direct them directly to your products, Imo, one of the way to use CL etc is to build a list, give something away or something, but really it works, people who say it doesnt have not use it the right way.

It's contrary to Craiglist "terms of use". Section 7, paragraph (k).

I know of some people who have been advertising Clickbank and other affiliate products (not IM) on CL by using only disposable local phone numbers. No link at all. They're making a killing with a brief outgoing message and for the caller to click on a short redirecting website. And, they have the phone number for follow up. Not sure if this violates any TOS, but it's been working for years.

i think i tried that a very long timeago and never had much luck. i have heard that putting a link to your email list sign up page and offering something free on the right craigslist posting section can do some good, but i have yet to try it. something to think about.
i also had some luck using a twitter advertising program i think it was either twivert or revtwit or something... i never much broke over even, but made a little bit. i have had much more luck creating review style websites with my affliiate links than direct linking though.
