How Long Did It Take You to Systemize Your IM Business

I am on my 3rd month in my IM business and was looking at systemizing practically every part of my business (traffic generation, product creation, finding affiliates etc). I was wondering how long does it take you to systemize your own IM business?

Also what do you still do yourself and what do you outsource or set on autopilot?

    I'm just starting out, but one of the most important things (in my opinion) that I'm doing is documenting every step I take in building my first site. For instance, I've got an eight-page step-by-step guide to setting up my blog (includes privacy policy text, ping list, adding the site to Google Analytics, etc.)

    I've also been documenting the business steps such as picking a market, building the product, getting links, and so on. Once I get this first site making money, and see what works and what doesn't, I should be able to quickly set up my next site.

    I think that one of the most important things to do is to get your analytics connected early, so you can have factual data about how your different experiments work - did getting those backlinks really result in a better ranking and more traffic, did your sales increase after writing a guest post, which sales page converts better.

    This is a nice one. Though I am not a detail oriented person, I think I will do the same once my system have been time tested....That way, all i need to do is manage the people who will do the work for me.

    I don't have an answer for how long it took me... a few years I guess before I realized I needed to... I just wanted to say that you're on the right track. The sooner you can figure out what activities bring you the results, and quit wasting time on anything else... you're on your way.
