Video Marketing or Facebook Marketing?

Hi,

I am trying to make my mind up if I should go with video marketing or facebook marketing..

My niche is in the gaming area., My plan is to for example if i go for youtube I would upload a video guide and put my website on the description( the website will not be salespage it will be blog about giving gaming tips and a banner on the side for the game strategy guide)

And in facebook I make a Fanpage and put my website on the profile
#facebook #marketing #video

I do not get how you seperate facebook marketing and video marketing. They are both a part of viral marketing and you should combine the methods. At least not skip one just for the sake of it.

Definitely video marketing for me. Videos go viral and can be shared much like articles and they are more targeted. Facebook can be a good traffic source but it takes a lot of work building fanpages etc... With videos you can pump them out one after the other!

But why not make sure that people can like your videos so that they are shown on facebook? Takes less than a minute and does no harm. So I stick with go with both

        I second that!

The hard part is making the video and, once you have that done, you should spread it around ... don't just depend on youtube. You can use heyspread or tubemogul to submit it to other places and just paste it on your facebook page. Only takes like 1 minute more but you get a ton more exposure.

Dag, do it via videos….. It really works. The main reason for my recommendation is most keywords available on your niche, people search on YouTube. (Ex, How to play)

I think you have a better chance on Facebook than on Youtube. By looking at success of FarmVille and other facebook games, one can say its a hot place for gaming industry to market your products and find new users

Videos are good for gamers, they will prefer watching/listening to it over reading a block of text. I know because I have a gaming blog.

Do both, they are complimentary. Target the right demographic and fb will drive a boat load of traffic to your videos
