I'm having a problem here! How do I transcribe a video.

Hello to all the Warriors!

I'm having a problem here! I'll explain everything.

I bought a very good course on IM'm very happy with the quality of course but the problem is that I am Brazilian my native language is Portuguese, my English is not the best and unfortunately the course is all on video with some lessons in pdf file .

I downloaded the entire course to my PC.

I'm having some trouble understanding the whole course so I'm looking for some way to transcribe the videos so I can clearly understand the lessons of the course.

Could anyone point out any program or software for transcribe videos in texts ?

Someone went through this same problem?

I would be very happy with the help of warriors.

Thanks.

Coringa

I don't know of any software program that can do that for you with high accuracy. Most people just hire outsourcers to transcribe the videos for them- you can find them on oDesk or somewhere similar.

      Coringa,

You have a very interesting problem but in my view you only have one option...go to English classes!

I know this sounds too much but think about it...much of the IM arena is conducted in English, so if you want to watch future videos you will have no translation problems...

      HTH?

I bet the Portuguese market is a lot easier to into than the English market. And I bet its growing at a much faster rate too, making now probably the best opportunity in history to break into the Portuguese IM market.

If the OP can learn something from the much more advanced English language market NOW it might make her/him a very successful IM'r in their locale. Maybe the OP will be the "Frank Kern" of the Portuguese language IM scene.

I'm sure you're correct, if I understand your intent and disregard what you posted. I think you mean the Portuguese-speaking market. The largest of which,by far, is Brasil. It is also where the original poster is from. There are 176 million Brazilians and only 10 million Portuguese.

Yes, you captured my intent exactly. I did indeed mean the Portuguese speaking market. Brazil was what I was hinting at. When I mentioned Portuguese it was entirely with regards to the Brazilian end of he equation. Portuguese in Portugal is... small time.

              Thanks professor!

Really needed to be placed as small, when in fact Portuguese people discovered half the world, back in the day. Probably your homeland too!!!

Edit: Somehow my last part got deleted, so here it is:

Create a top ranking site in both countries (PT/BR) and then do some math. More people does NOT equal more money online.

One thing you got right: this is the best time frame to bring in the horses to PT market. Thats why dozens of UK'ers are moving in, living here and developing BIG online businesses over here - not some mumbo jumbo adsense sites.

OP, Odesk or Elance can solve your problem fast.

People make good money selling to the rich. But the rich got rich selling to the masses.

You can post a job on oDesk for an English to Portuguese translator. The price will vary on many minutes need to be translated.

You should check with the owner first as that can be seen as copyright violation since you would be reproducing their video course into another format.

With the Olympics coming up in Rio it's also a good market to start building now for the throngs of people that will be visiting Brazil.

Being in Brazil you could have some insight to what's coming up. Imagine having the first site selling vuvuzela's.

If you just wanted to do it yourself you can rip the audio from the video you have downloaded and then use a program like audacity and start transcribing it bit by bit.

Here's an audio extractor that I use: Free Audio Extractor, Extract audio from video, Convert AVI to MP3, WMV to MP3, MPEG to WAV AC3

Here's a link to audacity: Audacity: Free Audio Editor and Recorder

Both programs have free versions that will do what you need.

    Hope that helps.

    Hello to all my friends!

Yes it is true the Brazilian market is huge competition is still very small, and is in my planning work in the Brazilian market, our economy is growing by leaps and bounds and we have niches untouched giants with thousands of people eager to consume.

But unfortunately do not have good courses on IM for this reason I am seeking courses in English, so then I can work here in Brazil, and also worth remembering the huge Hispanic market in Spanish, throughout Latin America is growing very fast and competition is very small.

Fernando Veloso Hey I know your work in Portugal and Brazil to agree with what you just said I'm sure friend.

A big hug to everyone and thanks for the tips.
