Hi warriors!!

I know that it's a question asked here constantly about how to rank on the first page of Google but...

There are so many marketers selling information about how to get #1 on Google and it drives me insane!

Does anyone have any relative info about this subject that has actually worked for them, like which products etc that they have benefited from?

I would love to know?....

Or is it all just a big secret?....

Thanks warriors!!!

It's not about it being a "secret" - it's about it taking time and effort.

The easier part is optimizing your content: choose your keywords properly, get ~5% keyword density in your main content, utilize meta tags and titles and h1 tags to point out your keywords to search engines.

The harder part is getting backlinks. Higher quality backlinks are better, but harder to get.. and even to get a big enough quantity of backlinks to compete with your long-standing competitors is difficult. You can start by adding a link to your site in your forum signature, comment on blog posts in your niche, writing quality articles in your niche, etc. You can also do link exchanges and use softwares to help you build backlinks - but don't build them too quickly, because Google will knock you down for "unnatural" backlink growth.

So again, it's not a secret, it's just work!

There is not a big secret.

Provide the best result/content for the user that is searching for the keyword and you will with quite simple methods in time be ranked number 1.

I understand exactly where you're coming from, in almost every aspect of IM I have experienced it at some point or another, particularly in SEO when I started out.

After 2+ years or learning, testing and seeing real results, my approach consists of beginning with good on page SEO, updating content regularly(especially when initially establishing the site in question in the SERPS), and having a steady stream of quality and varied backlinks from different sources. Article directories, press release sites, RSS feed submission sites, profile backlinks, blog comments etc etc.

I made a thread about my entire approach and how with it I got a site in a tough niche into the top 10 in Google. I actually just had a look at it, and I started it exactly a year ago today. Pretty much everything still applies though, and I update it when new posts are added. Like I say during it, I am by no means an SEO expert, but believe I have a decent enough grasp of all the basics that is enough for me to push any site I have pretty far. Here's the link, I hope it helps some
