    My top three are:

    1. Amazon Associates

    2. Clickbank

    3. Commission Junction

It can really vary depending what type of product someone is selling and what niche(s) they are in. I prefer Amazon because it is a well known company and people are more likely to buy multiple items that might not be related to what you are selling.

      Mike,

I have seen people talking about Amazon on here a ton. Can you tell me how exactly that works and differs from other forms of affiliate marketing? A few weeks back I decided I wanted to give affiliate marketing a try just to see how it works, so I'm kinda clueless on certain things. Why do you rank Amazon ahead of CB/CJ? What features/benefits do they offer that the others do not? Thanks!

Here are a couple of reasons I like Amazon:

        1. Trusted name - Most people that are looking to buy something online have heard of Amazon. They are more likely to purchase something from a well known and trusted business. This is opposed to Clickbank or other affiliate programs that they might have not heard of, or just not trust as much.

        2. Multiple Products - Often time, when promoting Amazon products, you will find commissions for products that aren't what you are promoting. If someone is shopping for a huge speaker system, or some college textbooks, and they click through your link, you are going to get that (rather large ) commission.

        3. Physical Products - I just find that physical products convert much better than informational or online products. Plain and simple.

        4. "Buyer" Traffic - When you set up a review site for Amazon, people that find your website are already in a "buyer" mindset. They are looking to purchase the product and you just have to provide information regarding comparisons (and your affiliate link, of course :p).

        Hope that answers your questions!

You can promote anything on Amazon. You do not have to apply to run a program as with CJ.
The more you sell, the commission increases each month.

Clickbank are ok for digital products.

    My favourite Affiliate Networks are:-
    Neverblue
    Monetizeit
    MoreNiche
    Copeac

I use mostly independent affiliate programs and very little affiliate networks like ClickBank or CJ.
What do you mean by "safe" btw. ?

Unfortunately not all affiliate programs are safe. To give you an example, I joined an affiliate program for a website selling darts equipment about 7 months ago and still haven't been paid a single penny despite generating over 400 sales. I keep emailing them but they just ignore my emails.

cool you guys. Thanks for your excellent feedback! On a side not I just inserted a amazon widget link into my website via html and every time I view my site, the words of the amazon widget are overlapping the image.

      Anyone else have this happen.?

I always put Amazon top of my list, they're a well known brand so people trust them and once you get the reader to click through Amazon will do everything they can to convert to a sale.

Plus the Affiliate programme is secure and I doubt they'll ever not pay what's owed.

I have dabbled with Commission Junction but never had any luck.

I've made nearly all of my money off Social Media. Facebook marketing to be correct, making viral apps, and literaly banking it. Go for FaceBook marketing, if you really want to earn the big Cash. Any questions, feel free to ask, I'm more than happy to help.

Clickbank and Amazon rocks.Clickbank is good for promoting digital products and have a high payout depending on the product, while Amazon is good for promoting physical products. You can integrate both and make a decent income for yourself.

    My favorites are:

    1. Amazon
    2. Clickbank

I think these above two are the most reliable and popular affiliate programs. But first you've to make it clear that what type of products you want to promote. If you want to promote digital products then I'll suggest you for Clickbank but If you want to promote physical products then go for Amazon.
