Are any of you Warriors voiceover artists?

Just looking to meet and greet others who do voiceover work. I recently joined the ranks of voiceover artist as I have rather an unusual accent. Got any tips and tricks to share with me?

    Kind of a "it depends" question I know but what's the price range for a voiceover? Funny, you never think too much about how your voice sounds until you hear it recorded. I think mine sucks.

      I'm still trying to determine a fair price for the finished pieces I do. I have to think about the time it takes to record, then to edit and finally to convert to the clients' preferred format. Also, it depends on how well known you are in the industry to what kind of rates you can charge. It's a really tough thing to judge. Hopefully some others will come in and let us know what they think.

        I was thinking the "man with the golden voice" would be great for voice-overs but he's got some serious issues.

        I did voice work for years on the side. I charged $100 for each minute of copy for long pieces and $200 for 30 to 60 second produced spots. I was actually charging a lot less than my friends that were also in the biz.

        If you are targeting IMers, then you will probably have a hard time fetching those kind of prices. There are too many voiceover guys on Fiverr giving their services away.

      I'm just getting started doing voice over work for other people. I'm a mod over at Live Marketing Chat, and the guys (and gals) there have inspired me to start doing this as a service.

      I have a web site, but it's still under construction. The design is mostly complete, but I need to add some content. lol

      Still have client work to complete before I can dedicate all my time to getting this off the ground.
