Is something happening right now in the economy view which let Guru put their reputation on the line?

Why I'm asking?
As most of us know, lot of push-a-button money making software has been selling on Clickbank.

And, the most interesting part was, these product are from reputable names.

I'm really wonder, why are they doing that?
Of course they will know the consequence of selling crap.

Here what play in my mind :
1. They see the economy future will be very bad so they suck everything they can from their "fan"
2. They are testing one experiments, we can see the patent were the same for all products:
-Videos at the top of sales page and "Add to cart" button at its right.
-super duper mini cooper hype sales letter
-lot of OTO (minimum are 4)

Any input about this?
Do you know something that perhaps I don't know.

Of course something is happening in the economy... people are broke! They are out of work or in fear of being out of work and their money isn't worth what it used to be.

This is always the type of atmosphere that snake oil salesmen look for. It's called mass desperation.

Any good business person knows that you must adjust to the current climate, but that doesn't mean that you have to sell your soul to the devil.

      Thanks EBR,
What I wonder, why they are so desperate to make lot of money (before deducting the refund of course), even with their reputation will be in danger.

They weigh the pros versus the cons and apparently have decided that mo money mo money mo money outweighs what they consider to be acceptable losses of their mailing list, reputations, and character.

The answer is... the stuff sells. Marketers like to sell stuff that sells. Some marketers don't really care if the stuff works or not as long as it sells.

    Blame Joe Newbie.

A lot of people like Joe Newbie don't want to work for it, they want an easy solution. Their eyes gloss over and their minds race with the possibilities, it can't be true, Become a millionaire for only $19!!! Joe Newbie can't reach for his credit card fast enough.

Now, everybody will tell Joe Newbie, There isn't an easy way, you have to work hard if you want to succeed, but he doesn't listen and blows his money on the Super Simple No Work Easy Button T1000 System.

Three months later Joe Newbie is crying that McBillionaire Guru is a fraud and ripped him off. Well, maybe he did and maybe he didn't but Joe Newbie was warned about those too good to be true products. You're not going to lose 20lbs in a week and you're not going to become a millionaire in a month. Sorry Joe Newbie, Reality is a harsh mistress.

I don't think it's the economy. Marketers are giving Joe Newbie what he wants. Like I said before, marketers like to sell stuff that sells.

Everybody talks about eating healthy but McDonalds is still in business. I suspect that Joe Newbie eats a lot of quarter pounders.
