Search around various sites some will have a section for advertising and others you will have to contact personally.

In regards as to "how much?" It all depends on what website you advertise on. Obviously it would be a little cheaper to buy an ad in the local paper than the wall street journal

    Hope I helped.

I use solo ads quite heavily - almost daily. You might want to check out the Directory of Ezines ($197). You will find many niches with targeted ezine publishers and their advertising rates.

Solo ads? I started here on the WF. Just go down towards the end of the home page and look under the JV section. There are always people there posting solo ad ops.

I built my list up to 300+ doing this method alone. The fee? Depends. I've paid as little as $50 for 250 clicks to $100 for 500 clicks. Kind of depends on what you'd like to spend really.

The only thing (that I was educated on earlier today)...make sure your auto responder series is good and your copy helps them buy stuff. Otherwise you'll build a list and still have no friggin money.

          Best of luck!

          Shane

Yes Directory of Ezines is Gold! ...

If your not able to pay the 195 this is what you can do.

Go to clickbank and look under "E-business and E-marketing" and click on "Ezine strategies" and go to "2Bucks An Ad Ezine Advertising Program" this allows you to buy access to Ezines for very cheap and and tells you how many subscribers are on each list. and some of the same Ezines that are in ''Directory of Ezines'' are in there also...

and you have to email/contact them for Jv deals? and you have to do all the donkey work? what help does DOE give Besides providing you the list of email niche list

If not, can you explain the method in which they operate in some steps ?, as i heard many of the people you contact don't reply back.

It's an online membership site with ezines classified by market niche and contains detailed information about each of the publishers including contact info, how long the ezine has been in business, number of subscribers, demographics, advertising rates etc. Yes I do recommend you contact the publishers individually that fit your target market. If all that is considered to be donkey work, then maybe it is not for you. Again, this was just one of perhaps numerous other resources available of which I find to be extremely cost-effective.

The donkey work is no issue, but do these people get back, after contacting them many times?

            When you contact many ezine owners {lets say contact 5 owners, with 4 emails to each one}

or are they more likley go get back to you, as they are part of DOE, (compared to other people who are Not part of DOE)

The Benefit of using Ezine directories is that they provide a quality list of ezines so that you dont have to go through the "numbers", trying to contact the owners of various ezines only to have them not respond.

And Directory of Ezines is one of the best.

Check the Warrior Forum Joint Ventures section. There are affordable solo ads posted by people with large lists. You can PM them and ask for a quote and the next available spot.

DOE basically keeps an updated list of e-zines, which includes important data like who to contact and how. You can do it manually by searching e-zine directories online, but they often do not provide contact names or have invalid information. Getting the name of a person is crucial to having your email read. In the traditional media, editors get tons of mail and will quickly junk anything that is not addressed to them by name.

In some cases, it's not the editor you want to reach, but the ad sales dept. This also is important to know. DOE probably gives you that.

I was a member years ago when they were only charging $47, so I'm not aware of what's changed. Back then, he included ad prices, how the editors liked to receive their ads, how frequently they published and how many solo ads they allow each year, etc. It was quite a thorough list.

Again, one great feature is that it's constantly updated, which saves you a lot of time emailing non-existent people, emails or e-zines.

It's your job to go through all the listings (which I believe are sortable by category/niche). Choose those that seem to fit your needs, and proceed from there.

Doing all that manually is a bit tougher, but not impossible.

As well as the Joint Ventures section of this forum (which is Fantastic by the way) you can also purchase solo ads from Safe-Swaps.

Safe Swaps is a member to member website that allows you to do adswaps as well as solo ads. Check them out as you can also check the feedback of fellow members to make sure they are honest and ethical. One thing I found about doing solo ads is that you need to watch out who you do your ads with. I have been burned on more than once.

    Good Luck.
