Hi, just got this email from google, they are going to terminate my email account because of a complaint, I am lost for words, I cant believe it, and I cant understand why anyone would complain, has anyone else had this problem, this is what they said,

Hello, Mick-------

Your profile will be blocked in response to a complaint received by the administration 01/31/2011.
According to provision 13.3 of Terms, Google may at any time, terminate its Services for account.

they gave me a link to click, but it just goes to a forbidden page, I dont want to lose my email account, any suggestions, Mick.

    Sounds like it's not a genuine email from Google.

    I would send an email to admin google and ask if it is a scam email. If they say no, then make your sincere apologees and tell them you won't do it again.

    Write to Google Adsense directly and inquire about the email. May be it is not genuine.

    Find out what 13.3 term is by searching for it.

    Yes, the more I think about it.

    Generally, if you did something that bad google would have just closed your account there and then.

        Do you have anti-virus software on your computer? You might want to run a scan on your computer to make sure you didn't get any malware from clicking the link.

    can u sign in to your account still now. If you can then the message sent to you is obviously a spam. Report that mail as spam.

    If you can not sign in then please change your browser and then try to sign in.

    If you can't sign in till now then you have make a call on +1 650-253-0000 (Phone no. of google)

    When Google blocked an email (not Adsense) account of mine (for real, because I didn't have yet another phone number to confirm it with) they just locked me out. When I tried to log in, they sent me to a page asking me to confirm with a text or whatever.

    But they don't send an email, to my knowledge.

      I'm with the others. I suspect you are SUPPOSED to click on the link. The senders wanted info from you.

      Check your computer for viruses and malware and write Google to find out whether it was them....

    It was probably a fishing attempt, hopefuly the page had already been taken down by the time you got there, nonetheless take the sensible advice from above and make sure Pc is clean.
