Quick Tips for Flippa Flippers

Lots of warriors asking how to value their websites before selling them and it seems there is no definite answer to that question. Though I am new to WF, I've been a senior member of SP since 2004 and I thought these guides could help you guys. I've been selling websites in SP marketplace before Flippa is created and I collected some useful articles there that I check from time to time.

Here's how to estimate the value of your site.

    This is great to know thanks very much the links!

    The problem I am really having is that when I want to buy a website, the people selling them are faking all the proof that they show. They seemed to be able to even fake Alexa ranking? They just send traffic to a website over a period of a few weeks and the Alexa ranking drops dramatically.
    I have a system I use are checking if websites are genuinely good or not, but sometimes I get down to the last checkpoint and see that they're not. Why are these people wasting our time?

      Most people who fake statistics are newbies who just wanted to make quick cash and then disappear. You can find some of them here... It's always better to take time in checking the site you are interested to buy using your own known tools.

      For the traffic, ask analytcis data, especially the traffic referrals to find out where the traffic are coming from... people who wanted to do long term business and are considering their business seriously always provide true details..

    Thanks for the tips Adie. After checking, it looks like I have a slew of GREAT domain names, 4-10 years old with PR 2, most of em, but not worth a whole lot because of no earnings history to mention. (If they were earning I wouldn't be getting rid of them.)

    I really didn't know what folks were looking for. Now I do. Oh well. Darn it!

    Why not just list the sites and see what they are worth instead of all this? All I do know about selling on flippa is earnings, no one really cares to see rankings as those are so unstable these days...
