Unsubscribers, "Why are you subscribing" aweber Form?

How do you get that form when people unsubscribe to your list which says

"we notice you are unsubscribing, would you like to tell us in the box why you are unsubscribing, so that we can improve our marketing"

How do you implement that? is it a form available in aweber?

or a seperate questionaire script?

#aweber #form #unsubscribers #why are you subscribing

    Easy...

Aweber allows you to setup automation rules such as:

When user SUBSCRIBES to list X, automatically UN-SUBSCRIBE them from list Y..

    or

When user UN-SUBSCRIBES from list X, automatically SUBSCRIBE them to list Z...

    So...

Just setup a new list and call it your "unsubscribers list" or something so you know what its for and then setup the automation rules.

Then create a couple follow-up emails that get sent to your UnSubscribe list asking them why and asking them to answer a quick survey or whatever you want them to do..

You can also use this to secretly keep them subscribed forever LOL

What is the benefit if you can't sell them anything. They are just using some aweber space. Unless you want to promote in an unethical way.

        You ask them
'the Reason why you you unsubscribed' ?

so you can improve your marketing, and it can help you know any flaws in your email series/business model

I don't answer those so I guess I won't help you improve your marketing

you might now, but some people answer them.

If not only to improve, but to see why they have unsubscribed, so you can know what is wrong in the eyes of many of your unhappy unsubscrbed people.

Well one reason I will unsubscribe is when I get sent broken links. To me that is very unprofessional.

So should I tell them I unsubscribed because I think they are unprofessional?

When I look at my aweber subscirbers list, it says Stop, and Erase

      What does stop checked mean?

      what does Erase check mean?

      {one of them means they hit the unsubscribe button, but do they have control to erase it}

and 5 people seem to unsubscribe a day, but on the REPORT GRAPH, i don't see any numbers unsubscribing.

Stop means that they will not be sent any more e-mails until you un-stop them.

        Erase means they're gone.

So how did the "stop" get checked in the first place? Is that an unsubscribe? I recently got 6 or 7 "stops" and would like to know how it happened...?

            Phil,

You're making me think... and I don't remember if it is an unsubscribe or not.

It should be easy enough to test, just subscribe with one of your throw-away email addresses. Have a look at your AWeber list. Unsubscribe then have another look at your list.

I use Stop mainly for testing.

            Hope that helps.

That is about the stupidest suggestion I have read in a while. Get Response ask this by default when someone unsubs.

Yeah, I think those forms are great for finding out why people are unsubscribing.
Aweber has that option and it's easy to configure.

Aweber has this featured embedded. Other 3rd party autoresponders should also have this. If you are using your own AR then you could redirect them to a page with that form, using a free form like emailmeform dot com (not aff link)

Where is this embedded feature on awewber?

and How do you view these answers, and reasons? that they unsubscribed from your list? (are they stored on some database).

Can you post the Aweber Frequent Q&A thread which shows this,

      Thanks.

Can we set this same email address, with all of our lists?

      set 4-5 lists, to MyUnsubscribeEmail@gmail.com

so that all feedback emails come to one?

      do aweber allow this?

    This is what you're after.

    Unsubscribes Are Good For You

The way Aweber have this setup is very confusing. I wish they'd offer something more practical.

BTW - When someone unsubscribes - UNSUBSCRIBE them. Don't try to be shuffling them onto some sort of secret "hidden" list. Unless of course, you're okay with losing your account.
