Can You offer an ebook as an incentive for someone to buy your products on ebay?

I know selling ebooks was banned on ebay a few years ago. But is there some way of giving a customer of yours an ebook as an incentive if they buy your products. In another form and not get banned from ebay?

    Have they really completely banned ebooks from eBay? I know they stopped the digital delivery thing a while back

    The way I used to do it and the strategy I always advise clients on now is to do all you can do take ebay out of the picture. Get that first sale, and start building a relationship with your customers via email, snail mail, etc.

    I'm not sure if there is a possible way to offer an incentive pre-sell, and if you figured something out, eBay would probably put a stop to it as soon as they found out. Like Yadira mentioned earlier, upselling can be used wonderfully with eBay.

    A lot of people who use eBay are not bombarded with upsells like buyers in other venues, so they are more open-minded to a soft upsell. I've been using this technique since I was 16 years old selling "how to be a hacker" cd-roms...Of course I had to title them as "how to prevent a hacker attack" to be accepted by eBay

    Anyway, for any sell I made, I would send an email advising of the other 3 or 4 informational cd-roms that I had for sale, and this provided tons of additional purchases.
