1,273 Optins In THREE Days and Two Myths SHATTERED... WSO Results

When someone told me a few months ago that WSOs were "the place" to hit it off, I was skeptical. I'd tried most other forums... could one really be that much better than all the others? Over the last three days, my question has been answered for me.

There are two huge myths that marketers starting out tend to believe... I did too - both are wrong!

Myth #1. You need to be well known.

When I started out, I thought that there was no way people would listen to me as I wasn't that well known. Today though, I feel completely different.

I'm by no means a big name on these forums, let alone in the IM World... less than 200 posts. I wouldn't be surprised if many reading this thread had never heard of me before.

Yet a simple WSO has accounted for most of the 1,273 targeted optins I've gotten over the last three days. This is with numerous WSOs being launched at the same time, and my own thread getting a pitiful number of views compared to some of them... but the results speak for themselves.

Myth #2. You need a huge budget.

Many starting out believe that you need a reasonably sized budget to get kick started in this niche... wrong! A WSO costs twenty bucks, and there are numerous free ways to drive traffic to your website... guest posts, article marketing, video marketing, joint ventures... you get the idea.

Personally, all I spent was $20 on the WSO. Nothing other than that. The results are shown below:

What I've learned most from this...

Provide Killer Content And You CAN Do It

If you create a top quality resource and put it in front of eyeballs, you WILL get the results you want. Be it sales, opt ins, or just plain exposure.

Thanks again to those at the WF and hope this serves as inspiration to anyone looking to boost their website. Remember, you don't get anywhere without taking action!

I had a link the the landing page the WSO directed at in my signature but removed it for the opening post as I didn't want to appear promotional.

      Hey David, been a while

I generated over 2,200 optins with that free ClickBank Secret Report WSO... If you have killer information then it's only a matter of time before everyone's talking about it.

There were some cranky people because the info. kicked ass and it was better than their paid stuff

      Hey Gerald,

As the content on the blog is related to the stuff in the opt in report (ways to make money online) and the content is going to be useful, I've setup Aweber instead of subscribe via email for Feedburner and used the Blog Broadcast function. This way I can communicate with all my subscribers whenever I want

  • You better be good with words my friend, as the average warrior subscriber is a pretty lackluster lead compared to those driven with fresh techniques from fresh "pools" of visitors.

Interesting Christopher. I'm surprised warrior subscribers are not good leads. Could you expand on this based on your personal experience?

Also I like the idea of getting high opt-ins through WSO's. Do you guys find it's better to do this with a FREE WSO or a low cost one?

      Thanks,
      Rich

You'll usually get more leads with a freebie, but higher quality ones when selling something, since they have to be able and willing to make a purchase online, even if it's only $1.

As for which is more profitable in the long run, there's no clear answer.

BTW, I'm not sure who is spreading these myths. I don't remember hearing that you have to be well known to build a list- I've heard that said about getting JVs or selling your own high-ticket product, where it makes more sense. But for listbuilding, it probably matters more what you are giving away and what is on your optin form than who you are. If your free report looks good, many people won't care that they haven't heard of you. If you're selling a $5000 coaching program, it's a different story.

WSO's are crap! I suggest no-one use them again until I have paid for my 200th WSO :p

Congrats Jason, I noticed your wso only received 380 views. Was all the subscribers made from this wso giving away the free report?

  • Warriors are generally crappy leads because most of them are:

    1. On many, many lists. Some people here are no doubtedly on over 1000 lists. You are competing with many other people, some of which are probably MUCH better writers and have been in the game MUCH longer.

    2. By the point someone reaches this forum, many of them have bought several products, maybe coaching, but most of them have a very small budget, and already know that so much can be done for free. The flip side is that many warriors already have stuff up and running, and don't feel they need to pay for anything, again, not good for you.

    3. A majority of people on this forum are lazy. A surprising amount of my WSO buyers have less than 5 posts, and most haven't been here for that long. It could be unique to me, but I've launched many WSOs covering a different array of services and products and i've found that to hold mostly true.

Lots of people find this forum through recommendations of other marketers, and searching through google.

I've built lists of warrior subscribers, and as a whole, they didn't the same profits, open rates or click through rates that a list of equal size gathered elsewhere did.

However, a list is a list, and if you treat it right, or smart, you're bound to see some level of success with it, and your efforts certainly weren't fruitless. For all I know you'll make $100,000 from it somehow

      Wow, Christopher -

You forgot Retarded and inbred... :p

I... I... feel somehow insulted

I have been placed on many WSO lists and do frequently buy from those warriors when I feel the product is right.

Hum...interesting thoughts being tossed around. It resonates with me that some warrior members would not be good list member as well. However, for other matters of networking, haveing a list of IM'rs will not hurt you in the long run.

    Jason,

Over 1,200 opt-ins in 3 days is an amazing number. You set a bar for others here to strive for. I'm going to try WSO out and write about my personal experiences with it.
