Hi all,

I know they are some members on this forum who use Adsense on their websites as part of their site's monetization; however, I would like to know how do you prevent your Google Adsense account from click fraud (i.e., people unscrupulously clicking away on your Adsense ads). Please share your thoughs on how you handle this problem.

I'm in the process of creating my new website, and I am considering using adsense to monitize my site, but I am very concerned with Adsense click fraud. Please say exactly how I could prevent my account from being shut down (god forbid) due to click fraud by unsrupulous net users.

I'm replying to this thread only because you used the word unscrupulously.

There isn't really anything you can do to prevent this from happening, just don't piss people off. You really shouldn't worry about it as I am guessing this happens in very rare circumstances. It only seems like it is common because the people that it happens to tend to complain. Just don't do anything to anger someone to do this to you is the best advice that I can give.

What method can I use to prove to Google that I am not responsible or did not click the ads on my site? I once heard something about server logs. Please explain.

I know a lot of people who sell products and services online and to be honest Clickfraud is something the media talks about a hell of a lot more than real online vendors do.

Google knows very well who clicks on what. They have automated tracking and the second you click on your own ad, a red flag appears on their screen.
It's automated for them, how else would they be able to monitor millions and millions of ads...When you add adsense into your account, the tracking is built in I would think.
