Offer them a $100 bill if they sign up for your mailing list.

Haha as do I, but I am not sure how profitable that'd turn out

For real suggestions, I'd definitely offer a very enticing ebook, video lesson, PLR material, free templates, a free program that will automate some tedious process.

Make sure you provide lots of graphs, videos, and proof that your idea will make money. You want them to have to talk themselves out of signing up, not talk themselves into signing up.

        Brad, where is your list...I wanna sign up...lol....I mean a $100 is a$100 right...lol

But I have to say Brad does have the right idea - what are they looking for? Find that solution and offer it to them. Do they want an ebook or video or do they want to know how to make their first $100 or...you get the point.

Produce an ebook for your chosen niche. You'll be able to find information for free around the internet - simply collate all the information and produce a free guide to a topic within your chosen niche.

Make sure you over-deliver - don't churn out any old rubbish - you are starting a relationship with people and you don't want their first impression of you to be that you offer them a pile of useless tat just to get them on a list.

Over-deliver at first and you'll immediately strengthen your relationship with your list.

      Mathew,

It's been my experience that the title to whatever you give away is going to have a major impact on your response. If you know what your audience is looking for, what's the burning issue, then you can come up with something that will resonate with them.

Spend a lot of time brainstorming titles and then test the one that you think is the best. If you're really stuck, go look at some successful sales letters in your niche and pick a bullet point off their page and craft your topic around that. Or, go to Ezine and look at what the most read article is.

      Regards,

      Wayne

Try to find something that not everyone else is offering. Find a quality item that people will actually want. Better yet, create something yourself.

Id say that's plenty - remember you're going to have to effectively communicate to people what you're offering on the squeeze page (and why they need it) and you probably don't want to make them read an essay to find out

Mathew offering a quality product is imperative in building trust in the process of building a list. Your list at the end of the day is your goldmine and needs to be treated that way. These days there is software around that helps build a list in a viral type of way which is very effective
