Paypal alternative for service business owners from India?

Hi,

For those of you from India, you might know that Paypal limited the incoming
payment into your account to max $500 per transaction a couple of days ago.

Don't know how serious they're in implementing it...

But I was curious what other Paypal alternatives service business owners
from India have.

There are some other payment processors which accept fixed payments
made from Paypal when selling stuff like fixed price ebooks, etc.

But I want to know if there's a way to receive bigger and varying lump sum
amounts such as $1250, $1970 or whatever.

Thanks in advance.

  • You could use Alertpay.com, Moneybookers.com, EBS.in as alternatives for Paypal. But don't know whether huge transaction can be carried out, since I heard RBI guidelines is applicable to all payment gateways.

    • You would do best having your business owned by a Hong Kong company so that your paypal account is in the name of the Hong Kong company. James at freedomoffshore dot com has a Hong Kong company for sale that will free you from India and place your business in Hong Kong which has been on the list of the place in the world with the most freedom for many years. I have done business with James before and I highly recommend his services. I was looking at his web site the other day and I was reading about this set up. This is what I would do if I lived in India.
  • Like said above You can use Alertpay or Moneybookers.
But in my opinion get Plimus, Fastspring or Swreg accunts.
Because all these companies accept PayPal as well (Customer has the option to pay through PayPal as well), by this way you will not loose your conversions.

  • You don't need to use Moneybookers or AlertPay. Because majority is using Paypal. So accept paypal payments with 2CO, Fastspring or Plimus. Those are very good solutions to receive paypal payments and get cash with a Payoneer debit card or Wire Transfer.

    Thanks
    Rukshan
