Hey Fellow warriors,

there is something i want to share with you to see if other people experience this too.

It's kinda funny actually how everytime i go to bed, i lay there thinking.. ( i need time to fall asleep , lol ) and i always write whole articles in my head. it's like i get hit by some kind of muze when i almost fall asleep, the next morning when i wake up, sit in front of my pc...it is all gone.

what i ask myself then is : should i get up in the middle of the night and start typing out my ideas ?

just wondering if other ppl experience this too sometimes

regards

Jurrie

I always do my best thinking in the shower, no idea why!

At least I can usually remember enough by the time I get back to my PC to put it into action...but if it is about my wifes birthday...then im liable to forget again.

    Regards,

    Si

Einstein (I think) once said that the biggest ideas came to him in the 3 Bs: The bed, the bath, and the bus.

Places where you're usually relaxed and not doing something else.

    Jurrie,

Get a very comfortable chair and set it up so you can write very easily without moving much. Then, relax, deeply. Get yourself almost into that sleep state. And write till you drop...

Tricky at first, but it works..

In my previous life I was a working musician, specifically a singer/songwriter, and that's very close to the method that worked for me when I was writing a new song. It's almost (or maybe exactly) like putting yourself into a trance, where you have access to your subconscious. I've never meditated, but I suspect that it's pretty close to what I do when I write.

I thought I was the only one who writes whole articles while trying to fall asleep. Usually I do remember them when I wake up though. I've heard of people keeping a notepad by their bed, but for me, I might as well just get up and type, and that's what I do if I realize "hey this is brilliant." If it's just average, sleep is more important.

I have had a brilliant marketing strategy or business idea pop into my head while trying to fall asleep -- but thinking about *articles* at bedtime? You guys seriously need to get out more.
