Is It Bad To Link To A Posts That Is Redirected?

Is it bad to link to a posts that is redirected? In several of my backlinking activities I´m linking to a page (eg mysite dot com / dog-training) that is made sticky and therefore redirects to the main URL.

I´m sending them to the page and not directly to the main URL as this is a kind of deeplinking (right?), but then it´s redirected to the main url. Is this bad, or is this OK.

I wouldn't say it is inherently bad, but what benefit are you gaining? If you are sending them to your homepage then you might as well link directly to your homepage. I don't even know if this counts as deep linking because search engines are likely not going to index your "sticky pages" because they don't really exist.

Deep linking would be actually linking to a page or a post that has a long tail keyword as the title.

In my opinion, I would not send back links to a page that redirects. I would send the back links to the actual post I want to rank in the search engines.

Now, I have never tested this because it has never crossed my mind. So, I cannot say for sure.

But, I can tell you this with 100% certainty…

If you back link you're keywords from your articles it will help in your search engine optimization.

Most of my front page websites have gotten there because of article marketing using keyword loaded back links in the resource box.
