Photo/Identify private property

Not sure if this is the correct forum for this question, but here goes. I'm building a site that will include a Google Earth map of a certain resort area. The purpose of the map will be to allow users to "mouse over" any of the properties shown (restaurants, condo complexes, hotels, golf courses, etc.) and have the name of that property appear in a balloon or text box. My question involves the legality (if this is even an issue) of including any and all properties, by name, and could a streetside photo (as opposed to the google earth image) of the various properties and/or their signage be used?

The premise of the site is to assist people in their vacation planning process, ie: where to stay, what's it close to, is it within walking distance of this, that, and the other?

I'm not sure if this should be in the form of a blog or a dedicated html website. I'm thinking a blog that is updated weekly would be more beneficial as to the activities going on in the area, but I'm fairly inexperienced in determining such things, so any advice is appreciated. Any ideas or advice on how to monetize this is very important as well.
