Please I need help with article marketting!

Hello everyone... it's funny this is my first post
Actually, I have been doing some article marketting for a while now and I haven't been getting the results I crave for.
One. I have this crazily low CTR, flunctuates between 6 and 7 percent for all the articles I have at ezine.
Two, I am not getting views, I believe I always get my keyword research done well and my most viewed article is 40 views. please, can someone help me on this.
Being my first post, I can't post the links in here, but I really need advice of this, thanks!
thanks you guys.

Well, what are you writing about? Maybe I can help... I'm no expert but my click through rate is about 15% and I get a decent amount of views per article... there's always room for improvement though...

what I like to do is read up on whatever I want to write about... get inspired and soak up as much material as I can about a topic... then I just sit down and write about it for 20 minutes straight without editing... only once the 20 minutes are done do I edit, then re-edit...etc...etc...

    good luck

As I seem to be starting a lot of my threads here like this, I'll do it here too...

      With all due respect....

...Can you add anymore to that? Your best advice is to just spread your article amongst multiple directories and "hey presto", we retire next year?

How do you know the OP isn't doing this and on what basis do you think this is the way forward? For me this makes up a tiny part of what I consider article marketing and I never just mass spread my article across tons of directories.

Sorry but I fail to see how this will help the OP.

Correct ... I'm afraid it won't at all, with a CTR of 6% and "not getting views".

    Manuelocal,

Do a search here on the warrior forum and read the relevant posts by Alexa Smith, Articlesprince, and Tim G. They're all successful article marketers (there are many more) and though slightly different in their approaches there are enough similarities that you'll be able to get quite an education from their contributions to this forum.

I'll give you a hint to get you started:

    Quality over quantity.

Try to make your articles shorter, that might improve click through rate. Have not done a thorough experiment on this but the few long articles (over 1000 words) I have the click through rate is low.

Consider also this article about creating article titles that attract eyeballs.

An article with a terrible title will not get opened. That is just the nature of things.

The low page views could be attributed to your article title and where your article is ranking in the search engines.

The low CTR is probably based on having a poor resource box or you are not offering enough value within the body of the article to entice the reader to even see your resource box.

What's the title of one of your articles? You can post that here and we can conduct a simple search on EZA for the article in order to accurately dissect it in order to determine the root problems.

Keep in mind there are lots of variables that influence an article's performance. Only after tweaking each of the variables that are infecting your article with poor performance can you expect to see increased results.

    Respectfully,
    Tim

I do quite a bit of article marketing. I would suggest you first look at your Title of your articles. One of the most important parts of any article is the title. It must contain your keywords of what you are writing about and be interesting to the person looking for information on your subject. I would suggest you do more keyword research. This is another vital part to getting a good number of page views. It must be a keyword or words that get a large number of searches but has low competition. Hope this helps...

If your using ezine articles you can find out the stats on some of the top posters in your categories. Look at their headlines and how they are writing. If you want the most attention always look at the structure of the top articles.

I read the yoyo diet article, and, to be honest, it was tough to get through. Here are some issues that I see with it:

      1. In your opening paragraph, you talk about celebrities, but they aren't the only ones who have yoyo diet trouble. We all do. I'm not a celebrity, and if I'm looking for help with my yoyo dieting, I don't feel like you're talking to ME right from the beginning, and that's not a good thing.

      2. Your writing is a bit wordy. For example, where you say, "What is yoyo diet? This is simply the fluctuation of weight caused by extreme weight loss programs that usually promote food deprivation," it's far too wordy and tough to follow. You could have made the same point by simply saying something like, "What is a yoyo diet? It's what happens when you go on a diet that's too extreme. When you deprive yourself too much, you wind up overeating later - and you gain all the weight back."

      3. Your writing is not particularly conversational. This ties into the wordy issue. Your articles are not meant to show off all those fancy vocabulary words you learned in high school . Instead, your articles should read as if we were having a conversation - a conversation in which only you and I are involved. The goal is to make the reader feel like you're talking directly to THEM (which ties in with the point I made in #1). How would you explain this to me if we were sitting at lunch?

Tighten up your writing, and you'll likely start to see a higher CTR. After all, if people don't make it all the way to the end of your article, they'll never click on your link!

      Hope that helps! Good luck!

Threads asking how to do Article Marketing come up quite often here - so I have a standard reply - I hope this helps:

Two brilliant threads to read about article marketing are these:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...marketing.html

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...eza-first.html

Read them both - all the way through - and take notes.

For further information I recommend the following directory - It is education in article marketing - a guide book and monthly newsletters - with a directory thrown in! You can read what Warriors think about it here:

also available as a WSO here:

This is a really great WSO for people trying to write good preselling articles:

I can also recommend the WSO's from this guy:

    1. If your competition is too high, then you're not going to get found. Try focusing on keywords related to your niche that have lower competition but still have a high search volume.
    2. Titles! Read the advice above and put it into action.

The advice given in here is really sound and I strongly advise reading it all and revising or creating your articles to reflect what you've learned.
