unusual writing service inquiry

Please be mindful that this is an inquiry only about already established niche content writers who can write a highly specific kind of content for me. It is not a job offer - that is why the word "inquiry" was used.

The reason this inquiry is so unusual is because I can't find any writer in my list willing to do it.

I have a website that reviews engagement rings. My reviews contain a custom spec sheet that I am able to fill in myself. I can also add custom images of the rings myself.

What I need, however, is a product description for that review that has nothing at all to do with the specs, but is based solely on what it "looks" like to a writer who is very familiar with women's personality types, women's fashion, and women's tastes in jewelry.

I want the description to just be a personal bling-bling evaluation of what the ring looks like and what kind of woman would want such a ring.

I can't find a writer like that anywhere.

Can anyone out there help steer me in the right direction?

Before you answer I have looked at the offers here in the forum. But those three factors
(knowledge of women's personality types, women's fashion, and women's tastes in jewelry) are critical and not easy to find in one person!

This is a pretty good "job-description", actually - I know what you need from it. Have you asked Tina Golden? (Best to specify roughly how many, and roughly what length for each too, perhaps). Good luck!

Thanks. I'm looking into other recommended folks as well.

I did speak to him about this project but I am so NOT "girlie-girl" and wouldn't have a clue for some of what he needs.

But we did conclude that if he ever builds power tool sites, I'm his writer

Ooh, well, there we are ... and I only do shoes, myself, not jewelry, you understand.

My next suggestions are James and Michael. Neither is a "girlie-girl", it must be said, but both are highly skilled, adaptable writers with a deep understanding of the female psyche (allegedly).

I should have listened to everybody else and started selling 50 gallon drums of Aunt Fran's Noily Prat.

"Everybody laughed when I sat down to play my Noily Prat!!!"

No...it just doesn't do anything for me.

But did it for Aunt Fran? This is the question ...

I'll have to check my back issues of Mad Magazine.

I have owned a wedding business for over fifteen years and it is difficult to find the right person for your task. It is much the same as when I ask someone to describe or discuss wedding gowns, shoes and handbags.

But one thing that I did long ago to find the right writers was hold a type of contest on a forum.

I asked for 20 submissions about 150- 200 words and paid each one $2.00 whether it was good or bad. I gave each a product to discuss and then when all the entries arrived, I chose the best from the batch.

By doing it this way, I was able to sort out many people quickly and get to those who understood what I needed.

I also weeded out people right in the beginning. If they had poor spelling and such on the forum, I did not allow them to participate. Those who were chosen to submit blurbs were already somewhat screened.

Great idea. I might look into that.
