What Training do you wish you had when you first started out?

I know a lot of people start out with one idea and end up with implementing somthing completely different as they learn new techniques and training!

What do you think would be the most beneficial to you, especially if you are just starting out online?

What are your opinions on "essential knowledge" when your first get started in internet marketing?

Be nice to hear your opinions, especialy if they are related to here and now..!

    I only recently started, so I can tell you what I feel I lack the most.
    Personally, I feel I am light on the traffic research part of IMing. Meaning I don't really understand where my traffic is coming from, or better yet, how to improve on it. I am building links and everything, although I don't fully understand the lay of the land, so to speak.
    I got my first sale 10 days ago, and since then nothing, this is because I don't know where it came from, nor how to scale up on whatever it is that I did correctly. I feel as if I am constantly praying for sales, rather than actively generating them.
    Basically, I'm a newb, lol.

      ok cool, are you confident if you can generate traffic you will make money with the system you have in place?

      Traffic can be easy to get when you know hoe, would you rather paid techniques or free techniques?

        I haven't tested it yet...My product only received like 5 hops, but I got my first sale from that. My conversion rate was 100%, obviously I can't run by those numbers. I am simply trying to rank in a high position organically so that I can see what happens without sepdning any money on paid traffic. For all I know, that 1 sale could have been a miracle, and might have been a complete fluke, so I'd rather wait before I put money into the site. It is my first site, and just seeing it earn money is comforting. It has earnd 30$ already in the 5 weeks since it's birth. As long as I am in the plus, I'm happy. Of course I'd like to have a big moneymaker, but I know that takes time to build.

    I think that's one of the key aspects to learn - that there are a good number of ways to obtain traffic. There are paid ways which tend to be quicker than free ways (BUT the paid ways are not always "dearer" than the free ways - if they bring you buying traffic whereas the free traffic is not of buyers, for instance - the paid ways should more than pay for themselves....). That is a key piece to the traffic jigsaw that may not be immediately evident. Took me ages to "get" that, for instance (largely because nobody ever really made it clear!!).

      I am not a newbie but when I started 18 months ago, I wish there was more emphasis that all this hard work. Unfortunately I ran into too much info which said making money online is a breeze. If I had know about it, I would have been more prepared and less dissapointed with making hardly any money after 6 months at it.

        Traffic is a deep subject...
        I Agree Buyer Traffic Is The Place to Be, But it can be tricky to get when your starting out..

        There are so Many techniques, ect...

        I am Going To Do a Training Course On Traffic Over The Next Week
        Covering the difference between free and paid and how to target buying customers as opposed to freebie seekers... Will let you guys know when it is ready, free of course..i got Quite a few techniques to share on this subject!

        So apart from traffic, What else stopped you in your tracks?

        Are You happy with the way you monetized your sites ect?

      I wish I started posting my blog content on EZA sooner. I was re-writing for a long time, which was time-consuming, so I didn't do it much.

      I learned for free on this forum from other experienced article marketers that posting the same content from one's site / blog to EZA and other article directories is a good practice. Turns out they're right.

      I've followed this advice over the last several months and my syndication numbers are growing almost every day (and I don't have that many articles in EZA). The syndication of my articles means less time spent on tedious link building and more time on writing unique content, which is what I prefer doing.

      The plus side is I have hundreds of articles published on my sites which I'm now posting to EZA. The nice inventory makes adding a couple of articles a day to EZA a breeze.
