1st wordpress articles

I have just started my first wordpress blog and have a simple question.

I have written a ton of articles for ezine articles. Do I simply post articles to my wordpress blog in the same way that I submitted to ezine.

What I am talking about is the same format ?

300 - 500 words

and try to do the selling in the resource box ?

or am I missing something here ?

You can choose to do what you want with your own blog... What you are currently used to is the format of ezinearticles, which puts some sort of content or tease in the body, and sells your blog or web site in the resource/bio box.

With your own blog, you are not limited to this format.
However, you may find (as many other people have) that if you provide good content on your blog and opportunities to purchase your product (or affiliate products) using links or ads in the sidebar or bottom, and encourage readers to join your newsletter subscriber list, you may do better than following the ezinearticles format.

Because the blog is yours, you can put as many links in the content as you please, but be wary of too many, which will turn readers away from your blog unless the links provide additional content (not sales links).

Another thought: Now that you have your own blog, you may want to update your bio on ezine articles to point to that blog so people that read your older ezine articles can get to your blog if they check your bio.

Ezine Articles now has a wordpress plugin that allows you to submit to both your wordpress blog as well as to EZA. You can get the EZA plugin here.

I also recommend watching all the videos and read the article tips. They're really good. EZA's making a very good effort to help you maximize the use of their directory.

When the content is on your blog, you can put more links within the body of the writing. A rule of thumb is to have at least one to call to action in each page down section of your article.

This will help a call to action to be available wherever your readers look on your page. Different size screens now mean this might not be entirely feasible if they are looking at a phone size display.

But in general with your own site, break your content into smaller pieces and put more calls to action in your writing.
