What would you use for video hosting for a membership site?

I've heard that Amazon hosting is very good, but I can't work out the pricing structure.

Heeelp...

amazon s3 is used a lot..

cant give you figures but ..
unless you have thousands and thousands of views inside the site then it will cost you very very little, and most people dont get that many views except on the sales videos

    ezs3

or easyvideoplayer in combination makes it easy to get customised players and it just interfaces with the s3 account no trouble

I agree with the above poster. I use Amazon S3 and EZS3 to create the video players. I'm not sure why everyone seems to have so much trouble calculating the Amazon S3 pricing. Go to Amazon S3 Pricing and look under the data transfer column. Then you will need to know the size of your video and how many views you are expecting. Once you have that figure just look on the pricing chart to work out the cost.

Eg: a 30MB video watched by 1000 people would equal 30,000MB, otherwise known as 30GB. You first GB per month is free and the next are charged at $0.15 per GB. Therefor it would cost you around $5 all up. It's dirt cheap really.
