Sorry for the inconvenience. Our corporate site is experiencing some intermittent load issues today. This doesn't affect the BuyNow order pages, control panel, sales, or shopper purchases.

If you are a current vendor, we sent out an email update earlier today with a direct link to the control panel.

Odd, I never got that email update.

As far as intermittent load issues, that may or may not be the case, All I know is that my lack of access to the site hasn't been intermittent all day long.

    Oh well.

        Hi Guys

I've had 14 automated messages from Primus since yesterday, all saying hte same thing:

"This is an automated mail from Plimus.

A vendor you are currently connected to has restored certain products for related affiliates and these are being reactivated again. You will stand to start receiving commissions if you run the relevant buy links. Please check your affiliate account for more details".

        Anyone else had this problem?

        Keith

One has to wonder if its time to look for another payment processor.

Well, clearly the reliability and dependability of the website speaks for itself. So far this week, to my knowledge, it hasn't been functional - at least since Monday morning. Sorta eliminates the prospect of using them to do any 'business'.

It's still down for maintenance? This has to be unacceptable for many people I would imagine.

    Dear Plimus Seller,

The Plimus corporate website at http://home.plimus.com may suffer from accessibility problems today for some regions.

E-commerce services and BuyNow pages are NOT affected and these all remain fully accessible to your shoppers.

If you wish to access your administrative account, please login to the control panel directly at: https://support.plimus.com/jsp/developer_login.jsp?

Many thanks for your understanding and patience.

    Yours Sincerely,
    The Plimus Team

I did get the emails from Plimus.

Not picking a fight here, however I'm just curious.

This is not about Plimus, I do have them as a back up to pay pal, however I'm talking here in general.

So they are down so what?. I can't tell you how many times PayPal has been "Down" since I started using them. eBay has been "down," The WF has been down, My bank atms have been "down." I went out to eat and the "lines were down," so I couldn't pay and I didn't have cash. Heck even my Internet goes "down" once in a while.

Where does this, "So and So is down," "WE HAVE TO FIND A NEW SO AND SO" mentatility come from?

    Just Curious,

      Hey George,
I'm really really surprised at this comment from someone with your level of experience.

Where does this mentality come from? From the perspective that during the time this site experienced a lengthy unplanned outage, sales weren't being made, and revenue wasn't being generated. "So what..." you ask???

Where does this mentality come from? From the perspective that this site (Plimus) experienced so much downtime during the past few days, that they won't achieve 98% uptime for the remainder of this year, even if they don't go down again.

Where does this mentality come from? From the perspective that we were told orders were still being processed; they weren't. That it was a minor issue with server load balancing that apparently took a few days to resolve. From being told that advisory emails had been sent out to vendors (which oddly began showing up 8-10 hours later).

To err is human. But to screw up, experience more than one or two days of downtime, and then mislead people creates a VERY bad business partner indeeed.

Hello all. I'm not a seller, but rather a customer, and thought you all might appreciate a customer's perspective on this Plimus outage.

Plimus' claim that purchases were not affected by the outage is bogus.

I purchased a subscription for an online service yesterday during the outage, and 1 day + 9 hours later, I am still waiting for them to process the payment. I originally tried to pay them directly with a credit card, and that timed out and failed. So I used an alternate option, paying them through PayPal (which seems kind of odd, but whatever).

When that payment was completed, a Plimus screen appeared saying that I should receive a confirmation e-mail within an hour, and to contact their support address if I did not. The hour came and went, I e-mailed them all of the information they requested in the aforementioned message, and I never heard back. I just e-mailed them again a little while ago, so we shall see what happened.

I contacted the service vendor yesterday right after I sent the original e-mail to Plimus, and the vendor was nice enough to extend me a free trial subscription while I wait for Plimus to get its butt in gear. The last thing the vendor's support rep wrote to me, talking about Plimus, was, "They really are useless at times, we won't be using them for much longer."

Based on my experience with them, that sounds about right.

Just wanted to chime in here...

I also am unable to login, either via the regular plimus.com url or the suggested https://support.plimus.com/jsp/developer_login.jsp? page. However, I *have* been receiving e-mails about affiliate sales being successfully completed, so from my experience, the sales/payment portion of the system appears to be up and running.

Found this post using Google to figure out why my transaction failed.

I am a customer for a site that apparently uses Plimus. I was redirected from the site I purchased an item from and was redirected to Paypal. I paid with Paypal and it tried to redirect the transaction back over to Plimus. Well, that failed since the entire domain is dead and now I cannot get the item I paid for. Very upsetting when you are working on a set time frame and can't get the module you need, but that you have paid for. I will avoid buying from that seller again and will do my best to avoid anyone else who uses Plimus till they get things straightened out.

Long story short, as stated earlier payments are NOT working. I hope they get things worked out for you guys and quit leaving you hanging.

I see that plimus is doing fine now. I'm using Avangate for time to time but they are down since yesterday... I even heard that 1shopingcart was down. who is attacking all the e commerce platforms? it seems like the whole industry is under attack... BTW, competitors of avangate and plimus who are offering their services at this time are sleazy...suggest you stay low or you will be the next one that get hit...;-)

For me everything is still down. No home page, vendor control panel or BuyNow pages, but what's worse, nor a word from Plimus to explain the problem. If this continues, I'm out. Any good alternative?
