How can I transform my site into a YouTube?

I have a site that is a dance website. Its a blog site using thesis theme. It is strictly videos from youtube in different categories. I have a link on my site that people are able to upload videos to me using transferbigfiles(dot)com

I am wanting to figure out a way to take my existing site and have it be able to create accounts for people where they can upload their videos and add links to them...

Pretty much like YouTube. I want them to be able to sign up on my site pick user name and password, do some basic editing to there profile and be able to upload videos.

The videos I have on my site are from YouTube. The only thing I am cautious of is what happens when a ton of people start uploading their videos to my site? Will my 9 buck vodahost account be able to hold up?

    You should do some research into how much money YT lost as a start up.

      Yeah I know they lost money, but I still have a website and I am pretty sure there are websites out there where you can create profiles and upload videos to.

      I was only using youtube as an example, there are a lot of other websites that model themselves off of youtube and I am not going to quit my site... I think the next step with my site is for people to upload there own videos to it. There is a site called Dancejam (dot)com that is doing what I am trying to figure out...

      Anyone know how to have it where I can have people have profiles and upload videos? Any suggestions

    wordpress is now equipped with a lot of video sharing and broadcasting options...i believe you can consider it for the job...

      Can you elaborate? I was thinking a plugin, but not sure which one would work for my site. I have figured everything out, but having people sign in to my site and getting a profile page for themselves to leave info about them.
