Can anyone tell me if there is a best time to tweet for best internet marketing results on twitter

I have tried tweeting at different times but seem to get similar results.

The results that you are getting are probably more relevant to your audience than other people. I vary my posting times and it does not seem to make a difference in my results.

It can also depend on where in the world your followers are located when they see them and when they respond.

Since Twitter is worldwide, you would need to specify what geographical area you're marketing to.

Best time to tweet is to use a 3rd party application to twitter and set the recurring messages not too abusive.

I agree with bradlean. I use two 3rd party applications. One to trim the fat to make sure the 10% ratio between follows and followers is a close as possible. I use another to basically to do my tweets automation name of the game. I do 2 hour intervals don't want to be abusive and annoying.

Probably the best single time of the day to tweet would be at 9:00 am PST (Pacific Standard Time).

      Why?

Because you are hitting three major break times,

      - People arriving at work on the West Coast of America and Canada, ie Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, etc
      - It coincides with lunchtime (12:00 pm EST) on the East Coast of America, ie New York
      - It coincides with the end of the business day in London (5:00 pm GMT)

You can also try this: take your most interesting tweets (as measured by how many people retweet them, perhaps) and post them again three times, eight to twelve hours apart. I used to think that people would complain about repeating tweets, but I've never had a complaint. My theory is that the volume of tweets is so high and most people check in at about the same time every day, so people don't notice repeat tweets.

Obviously you don't want to do this too much as it could border on spamming.

Best time to tweet, anytime, time doesn't matter as long as you tweet relevance and interesting tweets that can really attract your targeted audiences.
