i have discovered that many of the israeli marketers market mostly through PPC campaigns

any PPC marketers who can share some tips on adwords ?

    Direct linking is a no no these days, you have no control over the landing page and google will get you on high CPC charges, go and register a domain from godaddy, and create a landing page or just install a blog on your domain via cpanel and you can have a nice looking landing page, just provide quality content and your quality score will be much better and your sales shall also be much higher.

    Shlomi, I primarily use direct linking to determine if the market is hot or not. If it isn't (i.e. the stats aren't good enough for my criteria) I just dump that ad/campaign.
    If the stats are good, I go ahead and create my own landing pages with some type of pre-sell style (silo, comparison, story-line, etc.) and then, test and tweak until the campaign earnings hit a plateau.
    I came across the same tip where you try direct linking to determine whether or not the campaign is profitbale and then switch to landing page.
    But how exactly one gets to know whether the campaign is good?
    Does it mean first you have to make couple of sales by direct linking or is it determined by number hops(in that case it totally depends upon, how aggressive the ppc campaign is setup)
    I still dont get how to determine whether the campaign is hot by direct linking?

        There is no definitive answer to this because there are so many variables.

        In my opinion, it's one of those that you just do, and then over time you develop an understanding based on all of the knowledge and experience that you have, which results in you just knowing if something is worth pursuing or not. You might have certain figures or indicators that are in the front of your mind when you make those decisions.

        But no-one can tell you precisely because they will vary from person to person. It's an ability you need to develop to suit your own style and limits.

        So just get stuck in, be cautious at first and observe the big picture - and you should develop the confidence in time to be able to make these decisions in a snap.

        In simple terms - if you set up a direct linking campaign and it makes money (positive ROI) - then when you scale it up and produce landing page(s) it is likely that you will be -

        a) lowering cost per click = more profit

        b) expanding on successful areas (EG expanding keyword groups that are effective)

        c) looking for new keyword groups that drive buyers that you hadn't previously found

        And conversely, if a direct linking campaign fails to produce profit, you must decide whether to stick with it and find a way to make it pay, or move on and spend your time and money elsewhere. Simple, really?
