how to backup browser history on firefox?

Hi,

Is there a simple way to backup firefox browser history? (without having to use add ons and things of that nature hosted on third party servers?

    Here is the trick

    on your Fire Fox browser type: about:cache hit CTL+S and then save it where ever you like.

      But that only gives history for today. How can all the saved history for as far back as it can go?

    I use a third party program called MozBackup, which will backup everything needed including your history, but only until the last time you cleared it.

    You can use MozBackup for both Thunderbird and Firefox.

      Yep. I use this as well. I actually meant to tell you about Mozbackup when I posted but I got sidetracked with the knuckleheads ridiculous earlier post lol! Mike has proven that cooler heads prevail!

      Yes Mozbackup popped up a lot when i researched the issue prior to posting. The thing is though I don't want to use any third party. I'd rather just save the history doing something similar to perhaps what pc101seo suggested. Either type something in the address bar or command prompt on the computer.

      If anyone has a solution, feel free to post. Thanks

        Don't be afraid to use MozBackup. It's great. I recently upgraded computers, used MozBackup for Firefox on my old one, backed-up, then restored the file on my new computer using MozBackup. Quick, perfect, no problem.

          But doesn't mozbackup save all your passwords and everything that you save on your firefox on their servers? Or am I wrong about that? THat's really my main issue with using it, is I don't want my passwords or personal info saved on a third party server...

            MozBackup saves whatever you choose to locally, not on their servers.
