Are the High-Ticket price products worth it?

Hey Warrior's,

I'm a designer and I'm new here, but I am extremely interested and intreiged in Online Marketing and I can't help but observing from apparent appearences that there are certain Guru's who have High-Ticket products teaching how to make money online.

Are these courses worth the money in your opinion?

Is the knowledge contained within these courses true and accurate, do people have success with making money online after purchasing these high ticket items and putting in the hard graft?

My question may sound a little simple and stupid, but this is just something I need to know and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.

Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

That's very difficult to answer without knowing you.

For some people, they'll spend a couple of grand, soak it up and put it into practise night and day until they've made it back many times over.

For others, they'll spend the same money and do nothing.

And for others, they'll spend nothing, learn the same from other sources and either succeed or fail for the same reasons.

    Whichever hat fits...

    Cheers,

    Neil

My advice is to learn the basics and beyond before diving into a high ticket course. Even if the course is worth its weight in gold, it may not be the right fit for you. For example, Jeff Walker's launch course may be pretty good, but it will not help a newbie that doesn't have any ties to his own product and is miles away from creating one.

Also, be on the lookout for posers. I have had so many people come up to me and tell me that they are planning to create a high ticket product just because it will be easy to attract affiliates. Well, that may be the case, but most of these people that have told me this don't have the experience to be charging $20 for a product, let alone $2,000.

    Thanks for your reply Neil,

I see your angle, your saying that often the information is accurate enough but success comes down to the determination and focus of the user?

I know what your saying brother and thank you - I plan on doing my best at everything I attempt personally - thanks for your advice Neil you've got me thinking

I should also add that my Internet Marketing career started with the HUGE volume of information from the legendary Ken Evoy.

If I recall correctly, Make Your Site Sell's 500 pages cost me something like $17.

    Talk about over-delivering!

    Cheers,

Your mileage will vary. You can find much of the information you need free but some programs will add some structure to it. The ultimate success or failure will lie in your hands. Just avoid anything that promises quick cash and little work.

As Neil mentioned, it is upto 'You' to develop a plan of action and implement it. I think the problem with the $1997 courses is that too often they overwhelm the buyer with infopedia and often these buyers are either people who are relatively new or desperate or rabid product buyers who love to consume information without figuring out how the course would help them.

The result -the $1997 products have about 70 videos, 30 pdf checklists, 20 interviews with the top experts across the industry, monthly conference calls and a free entrance to a seminar. So in other words as a seller I have to do my best to justify the price tag of $1997 by piling up bonus after bonus after bonus.

As a buyer you SHOULD feel that you have got your money's worth if you can take one idea or strategy that you get by reading or watching the course that can help you recoup the cost of investment. And this idea may be explained in a page. But as a buyer would you pay $1997 or in other words do you feel justified for having made a purchase for one page pdf?

In theory, it should be a resounding Yes but not very often buyers think in that manner. So at the end, you are almost again starting from where you began.

It would be better if you first figure out your business model which in itself could in itself eliminate most of the products, then carefully research the products you may be interested in, then figure out the logistics like the projects that you need to complete first, whether you can use the information you gain immediately and how much additional investment you may need to make to implement what you learn.

The high priced products aren't worth it if you haven't learned the fundementals.

I agree, Ken Evoy is a great place to start. People rag on him and his products because it's $300/year, but it's still a great value.

By the way, these are the same people that go out and buy the $2K info products that just launched and say things like "Hey, if I learn one thing, I'll have made my money back"

Thank you all for your comments. I understand what everybody is and I'm going to read through this a few times just to take everything in.

I do have a plan - which is basically the "main" internet marketing plan as I see it: i.e: do some market research, create a free product and a on-sale product, create a squeeze and a sales copy, then work on getting traffic.

I am a fast learner and I self teach myself most things through trial and error - so I have my first project planned out and I will take action!!

My plan is to become a Designer and a Webmaster because I am passionate about Knowledge, learning and teaching, and I love art and design and creative writing - sales copy writing, mini site design, digital product creation - it is all very appealing to me and I am more than willing to put in the work to achieve success.

I think I'm going to stay away from the high-ticket information for now and just focus on establishing myself.

I am going to focus on doing designs for the love of it and to bring in some start up cash and then I am going to divide my time to designs and an internet marketing project. (So please let me know if you want a cheap *amazing* designer because I am looking to gain some examples of what I can do)

Much love and respect for the swift replies and advice Warrior's.
