Beginner Planning, help me out :)

Ok so question is essentially this. I have never owned / operated a website, but my computer knowledge is high. Ive done different things to make money online, for years.. but never owned and ran a website for profit. I have set aside $1500 to start this project. I currently have infinite time to work on it. I have no job / school I am a bit of a retarded entrepreneur if that makes sense i move from obsession to obsession. What would be the best advise you would give to start up a profitable websites or lots of websites... keep in mind i have 10+ hours a day to dedicate to promotion / content and a budget of $1500. Try to be as specific as possible as things like "get a niche and use cpa" wont help me much. Thanks warriors, lvoe the forum.

I'm not trying to insult you with this answer but the best answer I can give you is that it's already been answered... A LOT. Simply read this forum and you will be amazed to find that everything is here already.

I'll second that. I have learned SO much (not only about what to do, but just as importantly, what NOT to do....) from this forum. Might I suggest that you browse a load, get a bit clear about what you want to do first (planning perhaps to "rinse and repeat" later), and then you can ask targeted questions as they crop up along the way? I guarantee that you will be VERY agreeably surprised by the speed and quality of response.

One thing I would warn against - you say you can work from one obsession to another. Do NOT get tempted to build, say, 20 blogs in 20 niches, which you will then have to work on / keep updated AFTER you have left that obsession and moved onto bee keeping or golf 10 hours a day..... "Start as you mean to go on" might be a suitable maxim here.....

Good luck with it...... and hope to hear of progress....

There are a lot of different directions you can go with this, but before you take any of them, you have an issue to deal with:

I am a bit of a retarded entrepreneur if that makes sense i move from obsession to obsession.
This EADD (Entrepreneurial Attention Deficit Disorder) has derailed more potentially successful businesses than almost anything else.

This should not be confused with the perfectly normal false starts that most entrepreneurs go through.

Another thing you'll need to figure out is whether you want a successful website that throws off money, or whether you want to build a long-term "business" business.

Get clear on those things, with your seed money safely tucked away, and go from there. You have skills, seed money and time - most of the key ingredients. Add focus and direction, and you'll be ready to really start planning...

I think you have inadvertently given yourself the best possible advice. Stop jumping around focus long enough to get the best out of something.

    Good luck with your endeavors

I am a noob when it comes to IM, but have been making money online for about 10 years. If I had $ in my pocket, instead of building from the ground up, I would acquire a site or few related sites that already have some age and traction.

Rather than finding a "niche", it's also important
to stick with 1 method of making money online,
and 1 method only until you see yourself making
    some real cash from it.

That is not to say though, that you stick with it
forever even if it's proven to not make money.

Rather, try to focus and concentrate into just
1 method, stick around for long enough to gauge
whether it will be profitable or not, instead of
jumping from one system to another as you have
    stated, it's vital to success.

It is a simple advice I know, but you will be amazed
at the staggering amount of people making this
    simple mistake.

Never go into the the vicious cycle of trying Adsense
today, affiliate marketing tomorrow, creating your own product
for a few days, then CPA for other days like this. NEVER!

You should check out Rich Schefren's Internet Business Manifesto.

It points out a trap you can easily fall into with internet marketing. Just knowing it exists can save you a lot of time and money.

And it's completely free to download.

My advice would be to start with any of the heaps of simple systems I have found browsing on this forum for the past week, and try one of them out first. There seems to be plenty of Warriors here who have set up threads just to help answer your question and keep that money of yours in your pocket for as long as possible.

It's been said before on this thread but it is worth saying again - find a system and stick to it for a while - don't get distracted and you will be successful.

    Best of luck

It's easy to get lost in all of this stuff. Information overload. Just pick one thing and don't quit till you get it down.

First find a niche you want to work with (see my signature) And once you have.,.... I guess buy a cheap domain from go daddy and cheap hosting from hostgator... depending on the niche you can decide if you want to build a list or just one-time sell thing . get some seo work done for the site...rank it high (i recommend fiverr if you want cheap outsourcing, people work for crazy prices but you have to be careful..go for a vendor with good feedback)
I mean if you niche is good and your ranking high for a keywrod with high search volume i dont see where you can go wrong... 1500 is so much money..you can get all this done within $150 ..

It isnt rocket science you need the right mindset, Write down your goal and stick it on your wall or somewhere where you can see it everyday..and just work towards it...i doesn't happen overnight....Takes time and consistency.....Good Luck!!
