What was the hardest single thing to do?

For you more established/successful warriors, what would you say was the hardest single thing for you along the way? Was it getting traffic? Learning business principles? Dealing with people? Figuring out how to convert visitors to customers? Staying focused? etc.

If you had to pick just one.

Getting convinced that making money online is not an overnight thing... That was the biggest milestone of my IM career

I would say for me it is deciding on a project to dedicate my time and money. There are many great opportunities out there, you can't take advantage of them all, and it's tough to pick.

Staying focused. There are so many distractions in our world and it makes it hard to stay focused on one project at a time.

My biggest challenge has always been just staying focused. I've always had trouble focusing on just about anything. I've been working at it for awhile now and am getting better but I still need improvement.

Being a none sales guy, writing my first article trying to sell something to someone felt extremely awkward, almost embarrasing. I remember blushing while writing my first article, thinking to myself "who the f%$@ is going to buy this crap?" Guess what, I made a sale!

Not surprised that many answered, "Staying Focused". That is one of the hardest for me too. I believe entrepreneur's minds are going in a hundred directions at one time. It can be very challenging to rein this in.

Getting traffic is hard to do. If you can - focus on trying to get free and paid traffic.

If I had to pick one, it would be two of the same, and they are:

    sales and marketing.

Everything I've learned from product creation, to building web-
sites, to everything...all boiled down to selling it.

For ME, it was the hardest thing to re-learn...and once I got rly
good at that...it's been smooth sailing ever since.

My biggest problem is staying focused. And, sometimes just getting started. Focus on doing a few small things a day for your business and you will be shocked at how much you get done.

What goes hand in hand with this is discipline. I believe it requires strict discipline to resist the temptation of doing just anything or following any link out of curiosity. Because we have no boss, we must be our own boss and hold ourselves accountable for good time management and productivity.

discipline and focus is my main issue. If there was a pill for this... I'd already buy it. but sooner or later you become better and you will finally have enough reasons -- or will have your back against the wall!

        This induces focus and discipline!
