How Did I Do This In Google?

I have a page set up with some affiliate links on it. Somehow, when I search in Google for a certain keyword that I'm targeting, that affiliate link shows up in the search results along with that keyword as the title. I don't see this as a problem or anything, but I'm wondering if anybody can tell me how I did it? It could be really useful to know, especially if I had the link cloaked in any way...

I'm not going to give the keywords and stuff because it's becoming a pretty successful niche for me, so think hypothetically.

This is just my guess only after using Google webmaster tool for a while.

If a specific keyword/keyphrase constantly takes google to a particular web site (from other affiliate links or product owner backlinks), it relates that word to that site. So if your affiliate link takes the google to that web site which google associates with that KW, google might be thinking that your url should be related to that keyword.
