a quick squeeze page question...

Hi all,

wanted to say I find this forum to be pretty awesome and informative and have enjoyed reading many of the threads so far.

Anyway...

Quick question for you guys.

When creating articles, lenses, hub pages etc. Is it better to point the traffic from these sites to your squeeze page or your blog/site page?

Is it even allowed to point Ezinearticles links to your squeeze page also?

Guess that's more than 1 question.

Looking forward to the help.

Thanks All!

    Welcome to the WF GoTrends,

Your link building strategy depends on... well, your strategy. You can link directly to a squeeze page in EzineArticles if it is your squeeze page. You can't post affiliate links in your author bio (unless it is a redirect).

But as far as where to point your links to, it depends on what you're trying to accomplish with the blog and/or squeeze page, and what your goal is with those one-way links.

Are you building HubPages, etc. for SEO or traffifc? Where do you want to traffic sent? What's going to make you more money - the squeeze page or the blog?

Just some thoughts to get your mind going.

Ryan thanks for the welcome and the response, that helps clear up some things for me.

Trying to look at some systems also promoted here to see if I can hit some financial goals.

It's all a lot to take in.

      Thanks again Ryan

I've had success with pitching a free product/newsletter and then sending them right to a squeeze page. The more direct you can be, the better in my opinion. Bait really seems to help pull the people in, as long as it is something they actually want.

You can drive your traffic from those pages to pretty much any page. Hubpages are a real pain in the &$%# when it comes to driving traffic to an affiliate offer, so be cautious and only link once with that site or else they WILL ban you.

It all depends on what you want to drive traffic to. How can you add value to the visitor?

That's the question you need to be asking yourself.

    Trends,

I have seen optin pages on the sidebar of blogs also. You can combine them into one if you want. That way, your visitors can optin if they want to.

Or you can have the blog and have a link at the end of each post/article that links to the squeeze page.

what i recently did...i let someone write a bunch of articles and reviews, and due to the limited, but optimum (400 - 500 wds) size of the articles it is a VERY good idea to add in the resource box of the article

"For a more indepth review of product X see"

and then i direct them to a more thorough review on my blog, a "real" review with illustrations etc..etc. In the real review on my blog then are the afflinks going to the vendor page....pics have afflinks too, and so forth...

This is a good idea since in EZA articles etc. a "review" can only be very short...barely touching the essentials of a product....and it is also a fact that many article directories do not like links to squeeze pages., at least not obvious ones. This also makes the article look way more professional as opposed to some 400wds "cheap review" where an user would get the impression its really only made for getting sales.
