I think people interested in making a living from article marketing would be far better focusing their attention on ways of producing articles more slowly.

The "quantity" approach to article marketing is a hugely misguided one.

All the people who fail at article marketing tend to fail in more or less the same way, and it's a way characterised, at its core, by "quickly-written articles".

I'm with Alexa on this one. The practice of churning out 10+ articles a day that fall within some guideline such as 350 - 400 words with vague recommendations such as having "catchy titles" and "powerful resource box" has often be the demise of many folks who had dreams of actually making real money with article marketing.

As far as "software"? If you want junk articles that nobody can read or understand just dump a bunch of random text into a text translator. Translate from English into Dutch and back again and "voila!" you have a spun article!

True... I don't want to give anyone any ideas though of how to be any more lazy or fill article directories with worthless junk.

On a positive note, there are ways to organize yourself to create good content MORE quickly than you might if you just sat down and started writing. John "Zeus" does have a pretty good article writing course that he offered as a WSO... not sure if he still does or not. I think it's out there as "Article Impact". Yes, I bought it and think it is a real and valuable resource if you are serious about article marketing.

Yes, I agree 100 per cent with this. The internet is drowning in 'fast', crap articles and my little article directory is living proof of this. It's been around for probably 2 years and currently I receive anything between 60 and 100 submissions per day. On average I reject 80 - 90% of all submissions because they are trash.

Those I accept are seldom perfect, but they are readable and without spelling errors.

Recently, for my own article writing I've been experimenting with Web Content Studio and I have to admit it's very useful for uncovering keywords and conducting in depth research.

Focus on quality than quantity and if you can have a mix of high quality and high quantity, then all the better for you. I think there is a lot of misconception on quantity because you are told article marketing is a numbers game.

But know, writing a lot of crappy articles is still crap.

To answer the original question, I would suggest checking out Instant Article Factory by Jonathon Ledger. He also has others like instant article wizard, but although that one is FASTER, it's actually putting together other people's work from around the internet meaning your going to spend quite a bit of time re-writing it. Jonathon shows how he writes a quality article in 5 minutes with instant article factory on his site. I don't use it for everything since the templates don't lend themselves to every kind of article (however, the templates are fully customizable and you can also SPIN them with the click of a button!) It's really great software and worth checking out.

Good grammar will allow you to write lots of articles? I don't see how that speeds up typing or anything for that matter. Having good grammar is all you need to be a writer?

To many of you here, who have tried to steer the OP clear of cranking out lots of articles to get lots of useless backlinks, as with nearly all these discussions, you're wasting your breath.

People want short cuts, people want money tomorrow and most are not interested in a long term business.

That's why most fail...What amazes me, is all the people telling him to do it the right way, are successful.

Research and note taking are the keys to the castle here.

The biggest stumbling blocks most writers are going to face early on are here. We want to crank out article after article, but we don't have all the information to make this possible. Simply spending some time reading up on your subject will help a lot here.

I have a couple niches that I write for that take me probably 10-20 minutes an article simply because I know the subjects really well. I don't have to constantly stop to research points and information to add to them.

If I am trying to write for a new niche I find that it takes me hours per article if I try to read and type at the same time. I am much better of spending that couple hours just immersing myself in the subject and taking notes. From those notes I am usually able to make a bunch of articles simply because I am now puling the information from my head and not my resource.

Doing things this way also removes the risk of plagiarism because I am not referencing the topic as I write, eliminating the urge to copy anything.

I personally love rewriting content by breaking down into sentences and rewriting each one. Its so much easier to create quality content this way since the main topic and content of the article is already decided, you are simply rewriting it to make it original.

If you are going for very high quality content however, the only way to get there is to put in the work and write from scratch.

I look at it a little differently. I think that you're simply rewriting it to fool a search engine into imagining that it's "original".

Sorry ... I ought perhaps to stress: I'm not trying to sound "churlish" or "scathing" in any way, here. I'm genuinely interested in the variances between people's perceptions of this subject. It would just never occur to me to want or to try to re-write an article rather than writing a new one, which seems both infinitely easier and far more interesting to me.

Ahhh... if only it were that easy! The amount of god-awful writing I have seen in my day is amazing (and not just from IMers, from reporters I used to supervise, who were getting paid to express themselves in written form. Sheesh, some of their parents should have asked for a refund on their college tuition!)

If you can write, you can write... You can either do it, or you can't. It's as simple as that. I would love to be an awesome artist. Unfortunately, I don't have the natural ability to do it. No matter what tools I buy, techniques I try to study, or pretty paintings I try to analyze, nothing will ever change the fact that I can't draw.

If you already have a natural ability to express yourself in written form, you will, inevitably, get faster at it as you do it. If you don't possess the skill from the beginning, sadly, there's nothing you can do.

I agree here. Being one of the best artists or writers may require a large amount of talent, but I don't believe that writing for conversions and traffic on the web is something that cannot be learned with time and practice.

The issue where I think many people stumble is that they start looking for shortcuts. Getting good at writing can take a lot of time and effort to get right. Look at the top article marketers on this forum and they will tend to agree.

I am a high school dropout that went back to get the diploma, mainly on the grounds that English and writing classes bored me to tears. I didn't care enough about the subject to move along further with them, of course because my hockey career was going to take off :p.

The most important part of writing is being able to effectively communicate with your target audience. I write for a niche where you can have the worst grammar and they could care less, simply because you are aiming at teenage kids who just wanna get better at video games. This is where doing the research really kicks in.

Being able to do solid research, outlining your articles in advance so you know the direction you wish to take, and then adding tools to speed up the process is the best way to go. If you can put these three keys in place you will do well for yourself.

    I Love this (free) tool!!!

It's from Mark Hess, and it allows you to put any article in the box, click the button, and it breaks it up into small portions. Makes it so easy to rewrite. Yes you're using your Own Brain, but it makes the article better, because you can catch things that spinners can't (when certain words don't sound right). And I actually felt good after using it. I didn't know I could totally rewrite an article that fast! Took 10 - 15 minutes and I had a brand new article.

Assuming you have something to say about the subject, I've found Dragon Naturally Speaking software to be the biggest improvement in my writing productivity in years.
It can be had pretty cheaply, but even if you paid a lot for it, imo, it's worth it.

I think quality can be combined with speed-

For example using Dragon Naturally Speaking (or some other voice-to-text software) lets you get articles out there faster- without necessarily sacrificing quality.

For example, instead of taking 45 minutes to write an 800 word article, maybe you can talk for 15 mins (400 words), take 5 minute break, than talk another 15 mins to finish.

35 minutes including a break instead of 45 minutes and tired hands.

Do research on forums, yahoo answers etc, and extract three key points, then for each key point, have 3 sub points. Then all you have to do is write the intro, then each of the 3 points with sub points, then conclude.

One fast technique I learnt from Jason Fladlien is to write this one article in a straightforward style and then rewrite it in different styles for example
FAQ, Quiz, Step by Step, Story...this allows you to churn out articles fast - for every article you write, you can generate 6-7 other articles!

Probably not the answer you're looking for, but with regard to good quality articles, my best answer is: practice.

I'm currently in university studying BSc Economics, and I must say since I've been into IM my writing has vastly improved. (or "improved vastly?" - ironic!)

But yeh, I now actually enjoy writing unlike a few years back. Gives a great sense of achievement when you finish an article you've been slaving away on for hours.

Step 1: Know what you want to say before you sit down. As soon as you finish any blog, start thinking about your next one. Think it over as you walk the dog, while washing dishes, or even while staring at the ceiling at 3 a.m. What will it be about? What do you have to say? Go over lines in your head. For instance, at 3 a.m. last night, I heard the line, “Throw up on the screen.” You’ll hear it again, too. Real soon. Promise.

Step 2: Pick the basic format you will use to organize your blog.

Step 3: Throw up on the screen. Start writing and don’t stop until there are no words left in your head. Don’t stop for typos. Don’t stop for grammar. Don’t stop because you lose your train of thought. Insert quick notes as you write, such as CHECK NAME SPELLING, FIND URL, or WHAT IS THE WORD I WANT HERE? I use that last one quite frequently.

Step 4: Read your blog from beginning to end. Fill in holes. Tinker. Replace your all caps notes with real text.

Step 5: Read out loud once or twice. This will help you catch typos, pinpoint really awkward writing, and help you tighten things up.

Step 6: You’re done. Post it.

To be a successful Article writer, according to my opinion, you need to have good command over english besides buffer stock of knowledge. But all this is waste if you dont have passion for Article writing. No software can produce quality content. As far as my knowledge is concerned all the available Article Spinners are producing crab contents. So if you want to be a quality Article writer, do it yourself.

What's helped me out (and this may not be useful to you right now) is that I've always loved to read. Reading exposes you to different tones and writing styles. As you encounter different writing styles, you tend to become a melting pot of these ideas. As soon as a notion hits you that you want to write about, it's really easy to churn out those words. Now making them all cohesive, structured and technically "good" very quickly is a whole new arena which involves a lot of practice!

Bottomline - read a lot, keep writing (even if you take longer than usual at first), and get feedback on how to improve. I'm sure lots of warriors here are willing to give feedback on your writing style if you just post a paragraph or two here at the forum. (Hmm maybe I should try that myself.)

    Cheers!

I will quickly show you the easiest and fastest way
to write an article. Some of us might know this popular
method but for the sake of some of us who don't know,
you are ever welcome to learning this simple method
on how to write a quality article within the next one
    hour or so.

    Writing An ARTICLE Fast......

-1.Go over to EzineArticles.com[or any other Ezine
    Directories,please do a search on Google.com and
you will find hundreds of them].

-2.When on the site, check at the left-hand side of
the site and you will see a small box that says,
''Search Ezine Articles''.This is the search box,
and that is what you need!.

-3.Once on the search box,Let's take for example
you want to write an article on ''car finance''[say,
the benefits of getting car finance],this is what you
do:simply directly type the title of your article
on the search box, then click on the search button
and you are done!.I tell you, there is virtually no
topic on the internet that you will not find in
an Ezine Directory, trust me.[But this does not
mean that just because those niches are already
written about or marketed, then you would not get
noticed and make your own money.Who said so?The
opposite might be the hard-core truth!].It simply
mean that niche is marketable.Try this and see
    things for yourself.

-4.When you get the search results, easily copy 2-3
    similar articles of your choice.

Read and study them over and over again. Then write
your own authentic and quality article from those
    2 or 3articles.Simple.

    The Conclusion is......

I know with this method,it would'n take you more than
one hour to write any article on any topic of your choice.
By this way you can easily come up with 4-5 articles
in 5-7 hour time or so.I know by the time you start
doing it over and over again, you will understand how

Here's a simple point that many people seem to miss.

Get to know your subject first. How can you write helpful, informative and original articles on a topic without at least some background knowledge and/or experience in the subject?

Immerse yourself in your general topic. Visit your local bookstore and purchase a real book or three. Check out the library and tap it's plentiful resources. Fill your cup. Then start writing what you know. You'll find it faster and easier and whatever you create will be 100% yours.

Don't limit your learning to online articles or you'll be doing yourself and your readers a disservice.

Well obviously the quickest way is to hire someone else which is what I do. And you don't have to spend a ton. I have gotten articles for just $2 a piece and they were decent articles. I use these types of articles for building links etc. When you're going to use something as content on your site either pay more for high quality or do them yourself. Hope this helps

Don't ever use an automation or software tool to "write" an article. Rewriting articles does not create any value at all, especially if all you're basically doing is replacing a few words here and there to make it appear unique. You should emphasize quality over quantity at all times when writing your articles.

For those people who can't type quickly or prefer to speak rather than type, using Dragon Naturally Speaking will dramatically increase your article creation speed. When using Dragon, don't be concerned with typos and mistakes initially - just quickly speak out your article uninterrupted without pausing to fix mistakes, and then go back and edit everything once you're done. You'll find that you'll be much more efficient when using Dragon this way.

Focus on the keyword. How the readers will perceive it. And of course the quantity and quality of your article. They are very important.

Do a quick research and find a point to talk about. Then things make sense. Otherwise, your writing would be all over the place.

I can highly recommend any of the online job boards like Elance or Odesk. I was able to find quite a few talented writers on there that now frequently write on my blogs. Essentially, I am sending them a list of topics/suggested article headlines once a month and they go ahead write the articles for me. In addition, I have set them up as authors throughout my WordPress site so that I do not have to even worry about posting the content anymore.

I echo posts advising quality over quantity. However, don't confuse article length with quality. Longer is not always better. Brevity and being succinct is effective. Sometimes it takes longer to write a shorter article.

Keep your readers in mind. Is what you're writing helpful, useful, entertaining, informative, or whatever your objective is for an article?

One way of writing articles quickly is simply by answering questions. You can use the question as the title. In most cases, before you know it, you'll have 250 to 1,200 words - depending on the breadth of the question and depth of your answer.

I have a .txt file on my desktop for jotting down article ideas. I always have a laundry list of article ideas which speeds up my article writing process.

In my experience speed comes with focusing in fewer niches and becoming informed in the niches.
