How long for articles to get approved?

Hello

Yesterday I sent a bunch of articles to

buzzle
article dashboard
article alley
free library

they havent been approved yet, was just wondering how long these sites generally take to approve articles and make them live?

    I haven't submitted to any of those four recently enough for my impression to be worth having, but there's one issue here you may need to be aware of, Roy: Buzzle requires "previously unpublished content", and they're likely to decline anything that another directory has already published before they assess it. If submitting regularly to these four, I'd suggest that it may pay to submit first to Buzzle, and then to the other three after publication there.

    Buzzle is the only article directory worthy of the name that does require "unique content", though, so at least it's a "problem" that won't arise anywhere else.

    (Many professional article marketers avoid Buzzle precisely because they won't accept articles one has already published on one's own site, which is the best way to use article directories for all the reasons explained here.)

      Thanks for the replies...

      My strategy is to post the article first to my site, then use the Best Spinner to 'spin' the article, followed by posting each "unique" article to these directories, but I understand your point and will submit to buzzle first in future, so thanks for the tip!

      This SEO stuff is not such a linear a process as I first imagined!

      As far as I know the articles haven't been rejected, I was after a rough idea to let me plan a little.....

      ....and btw my content is fantastic

    Roy,

    It's really going to vary based on the # of submissions and the amount of staff they have on hand. I personally no longer submit to sites like Buzzle and no longer with Associated Content (they've both been a thorn in my side).

    If you've got high quality unspun content, I would submit to Ezine Articles, IdeaMarketers, and Promote My Articles, though I would make sure to read their Terms Of Service since they seem to be updated / modified fairly regularly.

      With both Article Dashboard and isnare I have an article waiting review since 28 March - over 2 months. Clearly not free anymore.
