How do you know where a sale came from?
2 days back I made a sale. It was a CB product that I had promoted as an affiliate.
I know I must track , but how do you do that, if you are promoting using different channels and also SEO'ing the site( I mean I tried using different LP's(same content) for sending visitors from different sources, but the duplicate penalty issue stops me from continuing to do so) .
I use articles on different directories,blog comments,forum commenting,yahoo and a bunch of other techniques to drive the traffic.
How can I accurately establish where a sale came from? I'm not asking for the keyword that bought the visitor to my site , but the source itself.
I hope to hear some valuable comments and suggestions.
