Moving from Wordpress

Hey everybody!

Can anyone here tell me what is involved in moving from a domain.Wordpress.com site to just the domain.com site?

Would that be like transferring from one host to another ir is there a simple way to do it?

    It is not THAT simple... since you do not own the wordpress.com which means your access to their site is limited to what they allow you to do there. That site is NOT yours, FYI!

    You can get the content of the site that they permitted you to create on their site - practically, going into the admin panel > Tools > Export... you can get a downloadable file with your content.

    When you buy your example.com domain + you buy a hostibng package to have a server for it to live on... then you will make a default WP installation there AND you will import the file you got from wp.com.

    That's how it works.
