Say someone wanted to start an affiliate network like Commission junction or market health. How would they set that up? would they contact sites that do not have programs and set them up?

I have no clue, but my guess is you first need a big list of affiliates. In order for product owners to be compelled to sign up with you is if you have a big sales force.

If you have a list of heavy hitters then, yeah - I'd go that route. I guess it would be the same approach as recruiting JV's.

    Hope that helps some.

I agree with Ryan. I think you need affiliates that are ready to sell. I think CJ and Clickbank dominate and that's were affiliates go to find products.

I am not saying that this is impossible. I like that you are thinking big.

Where there is a will, there is a way. Good luck.
