    PSPad = a simple text/html editor.
    What else do you need?

If you have absolutely NO idea how to make a simple website, you can try a software called CoffeeCup or search Google for "free web design software."

A squeeze page is just a webpage. You make it in HTML design software or like Istvan is saying with a text editor if you know all the codes and commands.

People sell squeeze page generators but they are really just small package HTML editors.

If you don't know how to make webpages and are looking for templates that you nc aedit on your own, you could try googliing free squeeze page templates. Or sometimes you can find these on giveaways.

I want the page to look professional - going back and forth from a simple editor takes too much time unless you're just building something really simple.

Are you implying one cannot build a professionally looking webpage with a simple editor? It's not the tool, but the knowledge that counts!

Sure, everything on the web can be done with a simple text editor and graphics software like PS or GIMP, but I don't want to spend hours or days on making a professional looking squeeze page. I also don't want to just slap something up.

      Johnny,

Go with a Wordpress Squeeze theme, like Optimizepress.

      Visual Impact for Women

The link above is a Clickbank product I made with Optimizepress. This theme has killer sqeeze page setups, but the cool thing is that it can be configured for sales pages as well.

Worth the money if you are going to be doing a lot of marketing.

Istvan - just so you can see what I'm talking about, look at this template - FreshSqueeze - Free Squeeze Page Template

Each of the elements, such as the buy now, info boxes, quote boxes, etc. are done in photoshop - the layout is simple enough, single centered column, but the graphics work, etc. is pretty extensive to make the page look this professional. It takes a lot of time to make a page that sophisticated, which is why I was looking for a software solution that would allow me to pick and choose the elements that I'm looking for and get the job done quickly.

      1. So you know exactly what software has been used: photoshop.
      2. You are asking the wrong question: even the "squeeze page" is just a regular HTML file using images and HTML code (eventually, CSS). Which means you don't need any special "squeeze page software".
      3. For any HTML page/site you need:
      - good images (photoshop or not)
      - good, clean html/css code
and a squeeze page is no exception.

For the coding part you can use even Notepad.
For the images you either know photoshop - or you outsource (what I do).

      You are over-complicating it.

Istvan - thanks for the follow up - I actually prefer bluefish over notepad - it's also a light program, but offers a lot more advanced features that programmers and web designers can use.

I don't think seeking a simple software solution is over complicating the issue. My intention was just the opposite.

You're right, knowledge of Photoshop (or GIMP, which is what I use) is required. I'm certainly not dinging you or finding fault with your approach, I'm just not looking to commit the time required to make a professional squeeze page by hand. In a way, this is an extension of what we do when we seek to outsource our work - we can do it ourselves, but don't have the time.

If you want something that can put squeeze pages up fast, take a look at Flexsqueeze, based on WP. I own the product and it's great for setting up professional looking squeeze pages with lots of options.

rmoore - thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for... I didn't realize there was a good way to create a squeeze page with WP. Nice site, btw.

Welly Mulia & Adi Djohari have a premium squeeze page templates site which is something that I may invest in for future products.

It has lots of html and wordpress themese which seem to look good for free reports where you don't want the expense of a complete minisite design.

It's $47, but given the amount of time and outsourcing it will save it should be value for money.

    I use Wordpress.

Use a standard Page and use the full width setting.

If you're going to have a thank you page or such, just get a "hide pages" plugin to the other pages aren't found.

I use a combination. Sometimes I will use Optimize Press for my squeeze pages but if I just want to put up a quick one then I usually won't use Optimize Press because of all the setup and configuration that needs to take place and all the extra unnecessary code that Wordpress add to a page load.

I have a few simple standard html squeeze page templates that I can just edit and be done with in a matter of minutes. This is the easiest way for me.
