First $300 day woohooo!!!! Here's how I did it...

Up until yesterday, the most I ever made in a day was around $195, but I added up my adsense and CPA for saturday and it came to a whopping $326!!! I didn't even get a chance to celebrate my first $200 day!

When I first got into IM back in 2009, these kind of posts always inspired me so hopefully I can help get some of you fledgling IMers motivated here.

Biggest advice I can give - ALWAYS celebrate your achievements....no matter how small! This is important when you're first starting out because it can be a challenge to stay motivated if you aren't making very much right away. In my first month with adsense I only made about $15, but I was pretty excited about that because it proved to me that making money on the internet IS POSSIBLE.

Remember, the #1 reason for people not succeeding in internet marketing is because they give up! They only make a few bucks or maybe even nothing in the first few months and then decide that this stuff doesn't work. In my whole first year I don't even think I made $1000 total, but I stuck with it because I just flat out believed I would make this work.

I think another thing that separates the people who succeed in IM from those who give up, is that they make their work an obsession. And notice that I said the word "WORK". This success doesn't usually come easy, despite what many sales pages for IM products would have you believe. You do actually have to work at it!

So to sum up, here's newBum76's magical formula for IM success:

1. Celebrate the small victories to stay motivated.

2. Be willing to actually WORK for your success.

3. Don't let warrior forum distract you from work too much, make yourself stay off the site for a week to break the addiction if you have to.

3. Make your work an obsession!!!

Sorry to disappoint anyone reading this for some SEO or backlinking tricks (maybe someday I'll share some of that stuff) but trust me, the above advice is GOLD....don't underestimate its effectiveness because of its simplicity! Good luck everyone, work hard!

Congratulations. That is an excellent day. I can't agree more. You have to work at it over time. For me, I try to focus on how I can be brilliant, organized and productive with my time. There is an art to finding that in yourself.

Congrats man, good work. For me the mile stones became less important after time and the buzz wore off quick--but it's still a good feeling breaking through new goals. These same posts definitely use to inspire me to when I first started, nice post man

Thank you. I have started IM just this week ago and I managed to make my first sale online, Guess I am one of the few lucky one..

However that was the only sale i ever got and I am hoping I can someday make it big here in the internet.

I am just an average 20 year old joe wanting to show the world how I can make it big without qualifications.!!

Hopefully my next sale/commission would come soon and i go for a little party!!! :p

      Jon,

Congrats! I always knew it was only a matter of time until you saw days like this. I agree with all your points there too. Since I've been doing IM(couple of years now) I have celebrated my first sale, my 10th sale, first $100 day, first site flipped, first $1000 week and so on and so on It feels great and we should definitely reward ourselves when our hard work pays off. I hope you'll have your first $400 day soon, followed by $500, $600 and on and on

I appreciate this post. I haven't yet jumped into the whole affiliate game but I know my time will come. It's hard to swallow the $5000 a day claims. $300 a day with lots of hard work. That I can grab hold of.

        Thanks and keep posting.

In survival school they teach you about small victories if you are ever captured as a POW.

There was a story of a group of POWs in Vietnam that would salute their captive officers with their middle finger. They told them that it was the highest form of respect in the US and an act usually reserved for medal of honor winners.

The Vietnamese officers would salute them back with their middle fingers each morning, so they always woke up to a mutual F-You, without their dumbass captors knowing.

Small victories. Maybe a bit off topic, but your post reminded me of this.
